John, Glad to see this post so soon. We didn't get to talk too much last night. If you stay the extra day, we'll talk more on Wed. night at MSS.

Who told me last night that Tommy Rocker's should be our TalkVegas unofficial home? Lee? Whoever, I agree. The service was wonderful. Julia, thank you. And the Welcome TalkVegas signs and the balloons were an extra nice touch from TR's. Chuck, the manager, thank you.

And the ribs and caesars salad were delicious!!!!

Gail & John,
We all had a great time on Saturday at Tommy Rockers. Thanks for putting it togeather for us.
Why do they always put our group in the cage? <S>
I agree the service was wonderful and while I didn't eat, all the food looked great.

I'd like to type more on this subject, but I'm wiped-out from traveling home. I'm sure I'll think of more to say, later, about the meet.

THANKS

Lee, I hope there is a good reason why you did not eat at Tommy Rockers.<g>

Joe,
If I didn't eat, it left more room for beer!
Hows that for a plan?
Sandy & Sue had small Caeser saleds and raved about them. I know Layne's chicken & ribs look great. (I almost broke down and ordered some myself). Jeff and Co. had a hughe taco plate of some kind. I missed what the whole table of Joe & Gails had. Doye (pronounced Dough-e) (see I did learn something at Tommy's) brought a giant cake from I beleive Lucky's supermarket, that if it tasted half as good as it looked, was terriffic. I passed on the cake though, saving room for beer, you know! I don't know what the others ate, but the beer was cold and I was happy!
Tommy Rockers took very good care of us! They handled the large size of the group very well and with a smile. I would not hesitate to use the place for future TALKVEGAS meets or just for lunch/dinner.

Gail, Sorry we didn't spend more time together. I'm home now
I was the one who said Tommy Rockers should be the official home of talkvegas. We have had more meets at TR's and MSS than anywhere else. The service and food are great and they place just kind of fits our style.
I'm not sure when my next trip will be, but you can bet your ### that it will be before next spring. I had the best time on this trip and Caesars was unbelievable with the way we were treated.
I still don't have a royal, but I came sooooo close.

Hi Lee. Glad you made it home safely. The one bad thing about this trip is that we didn't have enough time to see everyone and spend the amount of time together that we would have liked.
Thanks for the car sign and the luggage tags. Linda now thinks I'm totally insane since I put the car sign on the car as soon as I got home. She says we need help<G> I told her we don't need help, all we need is cold beer<G>
It was nice to meet Sandy and see you and Sue again. Hope you won more money than I did on this trip!

John,
It was nice to see you again too.

This goes under the something has to give department!

Either the meets have to get longer or we have to meet in Las Vegas more often!
The time just flew bye (unlike the time on the jet to get there and back) So I was thinking....maybe we all ought to fly out on the same jet sometime. Sure would make for a fun flight and make the time go fast!

Trip report will be along in the next few days! I expect the same from you! LOL

I just want to jump in here for a second to thank everyone for all the hard work you've been doing-- the luggage tags, the TalkVegas VIP cards & name tags, the bumper stickers, and the T-shirts.

Also want to thank everyone else for any contribution that you make to TalkVegas- LV info, dining info, trip reports. ALL notes that contribute to the success of TV BB is important and appreciated!

Wish I could be on the board more. I have been very busy taking care of business- throwing off crack heads and hookers has kept me busy lately <g>.

Will be back in full swing soon, I hope!

Lee, On this trip I flew out with a bunch of Corona beer sales reps that had won the trip to Las Vegas. Our flight left at 7:30 pm. They had started drinking at noon. About an 2 hours into the flight the attendant just gave up and parked the beverage cart at the end of the isle near them and told them to just help themselves<G> They were not obnoxious, just very funny and having a good time and did not disturb any passengers too much<G>
Somehow I think all of us on the same plane would be a story we could never tell about and the flight attendants would tell others about for years to come<G>
Can you imagine just you, Jeff and I on the same plane? They'd run out of scotch an hour into the flight<G>

It was really great to see everybody. Once again it seemed like there were lots of people at the meet that I didn't have much of a chance to visit with, but there's always next time.

Thanks to everybody that made it to Tommy's and for those who didn't, you missed some good people.

It was really great to see everybody !

Little scarry on the plane ride back home. Has anybody else ever had to land twice at the same airport within 20 minutes ?

Geez, I was thinking about driving to LV next time, but it's a 36 hour ride.

Mark, great to see you and Nadia again. Sorry to hear that you had some plane troubles. I'm not the best flyer. I've gotten a lot better lately. Landing twice within 20 minutes might change how I feel.
Maybe we could look into high speed railroads<G>
Glad you made it home ok.
The first thing Linda asked me when I got home was if I went to any shows with you and Nadia.

John,

Just as our DC10 was about to touch down, we took off again. Several minutes later the pilot came on and explained that there was a 747 sitting idle ON the runway.

I guess it's a good thing our pilot was paying attention cause somebody in the tower wasn't. You gotta wonder how many times this kind of thing happens, but doesn't make the 11 o'clock news.

Mark

Mark,

I thought I was the only one that got to make a touch and go landing at my home airport. Actually we didn't touch down but I saw that we were coming in at a pretty high altitude and then he, or she (need to be politically correct) pulled up and circled the field one more time because a plane was still in the way. I'm glad it wasn't a foggy day like some of them we get around here. I'm glad that I was finally able to see you in person, and that goes for the rest that I had never met before. Of course it is always nice to see the ones that I have met before also. It always makes me think of a family reunion, where you get to see all of your cousins once a years. Heck, I've seen some of you MORE than I have seen my cousins.
And to Lee, yes those ribs and chicken were cooked to perfection. Sometime I get some ribs that have been going for a little bit longer than I like, sort of dried out, but these were just right. The only thing that would have made them even better would have been a spicier BBQ sauce. I like a fiery sauce but I know the general public can't handle some of things that I eat.
So if anybody is counting votes, Tommy Rockers gets my seal of approval. I know for Gail, we get to meet her family, who isn't allowed in MSS Brewpub because of age. My son was in the same boat when I had him out there last year. Gail, please tell Little Joe that I hate that I didn't get to meet him this trip. I think he would probably be a lot like my son, Sam.

Layne, It was good to see you again. <lol> hey, you are starting to come out here as often as Lee & Sue!

Yes, I thought the ribs were cooked perfectly this time. A lot of meat and very moist.

Little Joe likes these meets as much as I do so I know he was disappointed that he had to work. Next time, I'll let him know to get the night off.

So, when's your next LV trip?

I'm starting to wonder if there REALLY was a big TalkVegas meet, or if y'all are making all this stuff up.<g> If there really was a big meet, you'd think there would be about 30 new trip reports.
