   Taking the kids to LV
   Taking the kids to LV
Ok ok ok.....I knew this would get your attention! LOL

Actully, I'm taking my daughter and Husband to Las Vegas in February. They are excited about the trip. The last time my daughter was in LV she was 12 and was restricted from most of what LV has to offer. Her Husband, has never been to LV.
I know some of you have taken adult kids to LV, any suggestions? (besides taking plenty of cash)

Lee,

Do this in steps. FIRST, gather materials and information and drop it on their doorstep. Check or highlight some points of interest (include free wonders) that you or Sue may think they would like to see and do and then let them digest the materials. Their interests may be quite different from yours and Sue's. Check to see what shows and stars will be there and have them choose those that look inviting. Possibly, have them include one sidetrip. If you're not interested, you can see that they get there and meet later in the day back in LV. Set your itinerary for each day......it can and will change.....be flexible. You know all about flexibility.<vbg>

Oh, yes, also show them a map of the area so that they can orient themselves to the city, location of casinos, happenings, etc..

We found that by doing the above, only after two days, our daughter and girlfriend were ready to venture on their own just a little. That gave Fred and I some time to do "our" thing. Our daughter was not a gambler so we made sure to arrange time for us to gamble while keeping her occupied otherwise. A lot will depend on just how comfortable Ariel and her husband are doing something on their own in a strange town......once you orient them.

I have lots more advice, but I'll stop now
before it gets overwhelming.

Any questions, ask!

Oh, yes, at that age be sure to check on appearances at the House of Blues during those dates. We also had to include a trip to Hard Rock for souvenirs.

Beth

Lee: Good subject, since Teri and her boyfriend are meeting us in LV next trip. Although Teri has been there a bunch of times with us, this will be her boyfriend's first trip. He's not a gambler, but Teri will take care of that real quick!

They have been discussing a Vegas plan with me, and we are in the process of putting together an itinerary. Wow, there sure is a lot to do and see when planning a trip to include a first-timer.

I'll try to add to the subject as Teri completes the "to-do" list plus look forward to any other suggestions posted.

V,
So Vince isn't a gambler. Did I ever tell you that I wasn't a gambler until I met Michael and his family? And we all know who now gets dragged kicking and screaming out of the casino.

Furdoo...er....DAG...lol
I'll be at the Flamingo Garden bar or Paris sports bar most nights. I sure hope we meet up! Ask the tenders, they usually know where I am at!
I won't be checking back on the BB. I have a very early flight

Well, I guess I'll pass the baton to Teri and let her carry on the tradition and corrupt the next generation.
