Gail, Would that time of year be too cold if I wanted to bring a friend and take her rafting down the Colorado river? I know that there is no way to tell for sure, but with all the offers that I am getting from the casinos I want to try and make several trips between now and summer. If only I can get the airlines to cooperate and lower prices a little bit.
Layne, I would think it would be too cold. Hoping Beth & Fred or Daisy see your note. I think they might be able to give you a better answer since they're the rafters <g>.

The website for the Black Canyon raft trip states that their season begins Feb. 1 and ends Nov. 30.
For spring (Nev. must call Feb. & Mar. spring) wear a windbreaker, long pants and a hat. They say to expect temps of 65-85 degrees.
We took the trip in mid April one year and the heat was rather extreme down in the canyon.
You can check the Black Canyon site yourself by going to the TalkVegas homepage and get there by the following route:
Las Vegas Links Rob's Las Vegas (then click on Visitors' info., Las Vegas tourism, In the Neighborhood and that will bring up the Black Canyon River Raft Tours.
It can probably be found quicker on some other sites, but I don't know them off the top of my head.

Layne, It would be pretty chile that time of the year. Those kind of rides are usually up to the north, a bit colder. There is an Indian Summer, usually in Febuary-65-70 out in Vegas. Buy the way, I can make a March meet.

Thanks everyone!! I figured it would be a little cold during March but then again I remember it being 82 degrees here on Christmas Day one year. I went rafting down the river when it was in the high 90's and that water is still mighty cold, so if it is only 50 to 60 degrees I think I will wait!!
