We adopted. Got a new 4 year old over the weekend. She's been hiding under a desk ever since she got home. She was my 81 year old aunt's who's going to a retirement home and can't take her.

I'm at Teri's playing with Rudy trying to wear him out so that he sleeps through the night and we can get some rest. He's only 5 months old and quite the little troublemaker.

My surviving senior-citizen Siamese (13) is very ill, but at least he's at home. I just got an email that my son is bringing his 2 cats home for the holiday weekend. Just what the sick cat (and me) needs! But there's one bright light in this whole mess--my daughter IS NOT bringing home her troublemaker Siamese!

Sorry to hear your kitty isn't doing so well. Old age is the one part of pet ownership that stinks. Non-pet owners don't understand how really rough it is on the pet owners. Wishing you & your kitty well!

Congrats! What color is your newbie? How much does she weigh? We have 2 (g,b) that we adopted when their mom left them when they were 5 days old.

She's a bengal kitty, marble markings, with black spots on her belly. 12 1/2 weeks old, very lite. We will have exact weight after vet visit on Monday.
Becoming more vocal every hour in her room. She wants out and she is letting us know it! LOL
Eats like a horse, and loves high places.
Our other cat, seems to care less about the new addition and doesn't even try to get into the room. I'm taking that as a good sign. But we really won't know till Monday evening, when if the vet says ok, they will go nose to nose for the first time. <S>
