   Slot Card Players Beware!!!
I have to tell you a little story. This completely shocked me but you tell me what you all think of this.

Last night, I was at a certain casino. I play there a lot and the employees are usually very friendly. Maybe too friendly?

I had made plans for my son to pick me up at 8:30 pm. The backup plan was if I was not at the entrance at 8:30 pm, he was to come in and hunt me down <bg>.

It ended up that his Church Christmas play got out earlier than expected and he got to the casino before 8 pm. So, he started looking around for me.

The nice lady at the slot club desk asked him, "May I help you with something?" Joe Jr. said, "I'm looking for my mother."

The nice lady asks, "What's her name?" Joe Jr. tells her. She asks, "Does she live at such and such address?" Joe Jr. responds, "Yes, that's her."

She says, "Just one minute" while typing away on her keyboard. Then she says to Joe Jr., "She's at number such and such machine. Just ask one of the floor people to show you where it is."

Within 10 minutes, Joe Jr. was standing behind the machine I was playing.

I sure am glad that I don't have any ex-boyfriends stalking me!!

Gail: You already know how I feel about this. <g>

Did you happen to ask them if this is standard procedure? Because if it is, sooner or later they will have a shooting in their casino after giving out that kind of information. They definitely need to change that policy of allowing a player to be located within the casino before there is a tragedy and a mega-lawsuit against the casino. Unless you give permission to the staff, I think it's an invasion of privacy and terribly STUPID of the casino to possibly put their customer in danger. What are they thinking?

Pretty scary thought thinking all the casinos have this capability, so I wonder what the individual policies are in each casino on giving out this kind of information on their customers. I would like to think that as a standard procedure, this information is not given out, so maybe in your case they thought they were doing you a favor, and they don't do this regularly to customers. But I'm sure you will speak to them, so let us know what they have to say.

Now if they could only do that when I take my wife shopping. I'd never be lost in a Wal-Mart again.

Gail,

I know they have that ability cause I've been aproached by a host before who came up to my machine shortly after I checked in to welcome me.

I agree with V that they should give that information out to someone who just walks up to the booth like that. The only forgiving grace I can think of is that Joe didn't walk up and ask them to do it. Since they offered, you could probably rule out a bas scenerio like V mentioned. I still don't think they should have done it.

Stuff like this does happen. Last year, Patti and I couldn't get into our room at the Casablanca late one night. Neither of our keys worked. We walked up to the desk and told a girl we couldn't get in. She asked our room number and made 2 new keys. Didn't ask for ID or our name or anything. I reported it first thing the next morning to the hotel manager, he couldn't apologize enough.

Gail,
I'm sure they thought they where doing the right thing.
If I was gonna guess which casino, I'd say Boulder Station?
Anyway, I got another question for ya, what if some one had a friend, say a theif, and this information was passed on when ever a certin local sat down, and his/her house would be robbed? Let's face it....they do know where you are....right down to the chair your seated in. Then if all of a sudden your name drops from the computer screen (you get up to go home) a simple page would let the theif know to get out NOW!
Probably impractical....but could it happen...sure.
Glad Little Joe isn't a stalker LOL
