   Airline, the TV show
   Airline, the TV show
I was watching this show last night a noticed two things I question.

1. There were 2 instances that showed people at a gate either looking for or waiting to greet an incoming pasanger. How did they get past security without a boarding pass.

2. There was a big guy that SW was saying would have to pay for a second seat. My understanding of this policy was that if teh plane took off and there were empty seats, your money for the second seat would be refunded. In the case last night, they were almost holding the plane for this guy trying to get his employer to pay for another seat. There was obviously a seat available so why would they charge him for a second seat? He wasn't keeping someone else from buying it! I can understand charging for the seat if you're keeping another paying customer from using it but that wasn't the case this time.

Jeff, last week they had 60 empty seats and made a guy pay for an extra seat. Us skinny people don't have to worry about that, Jeff next time you go I could sell you half my seat.<G>
I noticed that on some other shows that they let them go 1 way and get them on the return flight, that also applied to babys, with showing proof of age.

I didn't see the show. I've been recording most of them. I can't speak for the specific situation, although there are circumstances where these events can take place.

1. If you picking up an unaccompanied minor, you can get past security to meet the arriving flight. I'm sure there are other instances. Possibly a elderly passenger or other special needs passenger.

2. The flight in question probably made 3 stops before it terminated. Was the guy getting the extra ticket just going to next stop or all the way through?
