as mentioned in the wrong topic, the 07 bark will be held 7/02/07-7/06/07 that is a monday-friday and events will be scheduled as we figure out what they will be.one of which will be wendells birthday bash
Don't have any plans as of yet. I still need to convince the BOSS, that we should go that week. After this past trips losses, I'm not so sure I should either. LOL
DAG, I took a beating this last trip, I mean a real thrashing, I'm a little slow getting on that horse again so soon! LOL We have hotel resv. for June 29 to July 1 so far, so it looks like a go. But airfare is up, and I may tweek my dates for a better value. Nothing has been said about acttivities for this upcomeing bark meet????? Please no nude relay races this year, That was not the batton!
<G> well no wonder we lost i could'nt find the batton i'm getting a visual of everyone that reads that post saying "honey were going to vegas in july" right now i see it as brendens or brennens pub/canal restaurant for dinner,at the orleans,to bark and wendells birthday bash.maybe a buffet waddle at the wynn with a vp session after, that is if you are saddled up and ready to ride
lee- monday july 2nd 5:00 brendans pub, dinner to follow canal restaurant at 6:30 at the orleans.i think wendells birthday is on the 2nd.i will make resos as soon as we get a count and make sure the locals are not working.tues i see a rib crawl to hooters if they still have the all you can eat at dan marinos.this will replace the buffet waddle of previous years
DAG, I think I like this plan! Count us as only 2 for resos. Sandy won't be traveling with us, she couldn't get the week off. Tuesday rib crawl @ Hooters.....I could do that as well. Personally, I think you upgraded on both meals this year!
the ribs we had at marinos were very good,i've had better but these were very edible, the rib was very good and there are other items on the menu for those that would like to try something else.i agree that the food at the silverton has slipped below my eat level.i hope that jmt's work sched allows him to attend as he is really hooter guy.the orange short shorts are frightening!

I think that I can do Monday and Tuesday although I need to double check. And I'll give you an A for effort in thinking that the AYCE ribs will still be available after Dan gets the tally from your Easter dinner. Currently, Hooters is promoting a pound of Alaskan King Crab Legs in The Dam Restaurant. And they sent me a postcard to try them for free. I'm thinking a pound of kings for an appetizer and then head over to Dan's for a prime rib would make a nice meal. And then swipe my card for some free orange shorts.
It's official, I purchased tickets to LV for the BARK meet. Out to Vegas on Continental, and home on USair. Using Allentown as my home airport. This is going to be a GREAT week to be in Vegas!
yes it is lee.if we don't have some fun that week i'ts our own fault!!hoping to hear from the deuces and anyone else that want to hang out with a fun bunch of people!!
DAG,there should be at least one Deuce in town .. maybe we can get together and find all four on some friendly machines at the SouthPoint. Better yet, I could introduce you to the Senator since he got both of us hooked on Bonus Deuces<g>.
great daisy!! maybe one day we can do a vp crawl-southpoint,gvr,sams and end up at the orleans for steak nite at the orleans buffet.it ain't the wynn but it ain't bad if you wash it down with a bottle of free cheap wine
my guess is that its going to be about 110 degrees in vegas over the 4th,so i don't care how you drink your scotch, just bring a lot of that stinkin ice!!!<G>

I've been on a Macallan kick lately but don't plan on transporting any. I'll get us a bottle in Vegas.
Have you tried the Macallan Cask Strength?
I've been kicking that temperature thing around a bit. I've got a Mustang Convertable reserved as well as a Dodge Charger. I figured evenings would be nice for the rag top but I'm kind of rethinking that.
Macallan Cask Strength? Never heard of it. Good thing you didn't want the Glenlivit, I just gave that away this afternoon<g>. Have you ever tried Balvenie? We might need DAG to referee the ice battle.
ok i'll referee but i need support from the whiskey drinkers out there.any black jack or wild turkey fans out there? oh and i'll need a driver too.seems to me that those texas boys should know good sippin whiskey when they see it.<G>
That was a fun night at the Palms; I think I was serving a choice of oolong tea or scotch, and Beth was the only tea drinker<g>. Fred thought it was BYOB.
BTW, that was a junior suite upgrade I had at the Palms, but I'm sure you haven't lost the ability to charm an upgrade out of a sweet young desk clerk.
the bark at brendans pub,5:00 orleans followed by dinner at the canal restaurant 6:30.that will be on monday july 2nd.on tues-a rib crawl to dan marinos or a crab crawl to the dam rest at hooters at 6-ish.i'll make resos at the canal rest. for 9 and we will wing it at hooters unless jmt tells me that there has been a surge in popularity at marinos and some may do crab and ribs.they also have great prime rib at marinos

dag, I went to Dan's last night just to double check the prime rib situation. It was soft as butter, or as you say, "butta". I had sauteed spinach which was good. It's probably hard to screw up spinach. They gave me a decent count on the serving size. I also had a small caesar salad which was much better than average in this town and not all that small. It was on a full size plate, although it wasn't piled high.
The large prime rib was $23.95 with a side item, the small caesar was $4.95, and the iced tea was $2.50. Not only was that one of the finest prime rib meals I have ever had, it ranks very high on the bang for the buck scale. And the whole meal is approved on the dag diet...unless you want water instead of tea. It's not approved on my diet, so I will not test it anymore until the bark. I may go back for another caesar though.
sounds great to me even if they don't have the rib or crab specials still going.went out to the local tribal tonite for prime rib,not soft as butta but very good, baked salmon, and shrimp for 15 bucks on the buffet.that was bang for your buck and not bad.i think lee should consider the "great mamaries room" at hooters for his dinner out with his guests.<G>
last call -the bark will be monday july 2nd starting at 5pm at brendans pub in the orleans with dinner to follow at the canal restaurant at 6:30 in the orleans.now i'm really pumped!! rib waddle on tues at dan marinos in hooters.6 ish.no resos at hooters so we might be there a little early to check out the pool and see how busy the place is and and to have a few cool ones.c u in a week!!

food update. The signs for the crab legs are gone. Only sign for Dam Restaurant is shrimp cocktail, and it does NOT look appetizing to me. The sign made it appear to have avacados and maybe pineapple in it. Rib signs are still there. Prime rib still top notch.
kes i thought you might be the mystery guest this year but i guess not.one of the best barks we ever had was when you and david were there at the mss brew pub and wendell was the mystery guest.c u next year? i still have davids drawing up in my office.

I will tell David about the drawing!
I still have photos of you and the gang from that meet on my screensaver at work (or as I then referred to my first meet "a blind date with 16 people.")
