How To Keep Unwanted Visitors Away
How To Keep Unwanted Visitors Away
Mrs. LVC figured out a way to keep her In-laws from coming to her house to stay.

We now have one of these, a Python for a pet. When my folks got wind of this they said that they would never stay at our house again and will start using the comp rooms they have in Vegas.

The plan worked. laugh

Does your python have a sister for the boat?

Does Las Vegas have any restriction on keeping a Python in your home?

A guy near columbus found himslef in court when his daughter's pet aligator got loose a few weeks ago.

I can understand why an aligator owner ended up in court. If he didn't have the proper license to own a dangerous animal he should be in trouble with the law.

Snakes are not a problem as long as they are non-venomous. To own a venomous snake you are supposed to be licensed to do so.

I'm not aware of any restrictions in Las Vegas about owning a Python. I'm sure if there were any; the pet stores would not be selling them and places that ship snakes would not ship them here.

You seemed to give the Mrs LVC the credit. Are you saying that it was her idea that she had to pitch to you? Do you ever feel like you live in a zoo?

I don't know the law in this situation, but a python is a constrictor which comes with it's own set of dangers. And most pets present some degree of danger. I have a friend at work who has 6 kids and they have a pet tarantula.

I've been living in a zoo since the day I msrried Mrs. LVC (aka the animal lover). She actually looked at snakes with the Lil' Cajun several months ago but he decided on a Chinese Water Dragon instead.

When the time came to put the lizard in a bigger tank, I suggested the snake to put in the exisiting tank and she was all for it. So off to Petco we go for a bigger tank for the lizard and a Python. Mrs. LVC loves playing with the Python as well as all the other animals in the house.

This Python is a Ball Python and will only grow to 4-5 feet long. Unlike the Burmese Python that will grow to 20 feet long, the Ball Python is really no threat to humans at all.

I did look at the tarantula and the scorpion they had in the pet store. When the lizard needs to move up to a bigger tank and the Python moves into the existing tank the lizard is in, then I'll have a perfectly suited tank to use for either a tarantula or a scorpion.
