Since December is still the off season, we have been getting more than the normal batch of offers.

I would say that the high points were:

Red Rock offering to come pick us up in the limo, along with 3 free nights.

Monte Carlo is offering two nights, Lance Burton tickets and $100 free play.

The Planet Hollywood upgraded their previous $69 nights to two free nights and the pay your airfare on the next trip plus a bunch of random stuff.

But the amazing offer was from Sunset Station with free nights from Thursday through Sunday of Superbowl weekend and admission into their Superbowl Party. This was quite surprising since the desk staff treated us like crap when we were there in July. However, it was the one casino we took a beating at.

This guppy is still waiting for that Planet Hollywood upgrade<g>. Those are nice offers from Red Rock and Monte Carlo - hope you can take them up on it! Have you ever been in town for SuperBowl?

Sharon just got one from the Flamingo offering her a Jensen GPS. Before that she was offered a $300 gift card for some mail order stuff.
It amazes me what she gets from the Harrahs group.

I got one from the Flamingo for a GPS about a year ago. It looked kinda suspect almost as if it required a timeshare sit through to complete the deal. It didn't really say that. But it didn't really say to just pick up the gift at the slot club after you check in. It happend to be on a work night and I never followed up on it.

Yet another development. Last night we got a call from a slot host at Sunset Station asking if they could book reservations on their Superbowl offer. Alternately, he offered to book us for either a blackjack or slot tournament in January.
This is the first time every any place has called us.
It makes me wonder if they are trying to move the client

You didn't say if you are going????
We've had several calls already, the dates never match anything we are planning. And most of the time it's short notice. SuperBowl week sounds like great fun, and being away from the madhouse strip might be a great play for that!

I thought the Superbowl Sunday crowds were relatively mild on the strip last year. It was more of a happy and party atmosphere than the hustle and madness of most busy weekends.

Dag, remember that disclaimer about "any use without the expressed, written consent of the NFL is prohibited". The NFL decided that you could not charge someone to watch their program on TV. The way around that was to have private parties for free. They can still charge (and overcharge) for drinks, drawings, rooms, and other non NFL items.

The way they seem to be getting around it is that they do not use the word "superbowl" anywhere on the offer. It is the "Big Game Weekend". They said the party was complimentary food and beverage.
We still haven't decided whether we will go since we are going down to Florida for two weeks at Christmas and may have vacation burn out.
