Well, with DAG's trip coming up, and me without plans for a Vegas trip (no dates picked). I find myself sitting here and wanting to make some plans for March. Anyone else looking at March as a possible trip to the playground???

I want to stay away from Easter, and I know March madness really heats up the end of March, but I don't follow basketball, so I'm not sure of dates and things. But I don't really need crowds & screamers.
I keep going back to early March. It's just going to be a little 5 nighter. Something to hold me till July....yikes, did I actually say July....WOW!

So...anyone else thinking about it????

lee,i think wendell will jump in here,i'm sure he was talking march.since you mentioned the 4th,it is on a friday so the bark will be sun-thur before,or sun-thur after

DAG.....We might miss the 4th of July this year for the first time in many many years. Sharon didn't get that week off. We are looking later in July 3rd week.

10 - 14 March are our dates.

we do not have to do the bark at the 4th,in the years past it just was when everone was in town.i would hate to sched. the bark 7/6-710,sun-thur andhave your dates be the next week.so lets try to get together on your july dates.for now the bark would be 7/6-7/10.any thoughts from anyone else?

Lee, the weekend that ends Feb and begins Mar is NASCAR weekend.

JMT, I beleive the 6th will just miss the race. Although we where in town last year for the race and things went smooth. It's a well healed Nascar fan at Ceasars! LOL We were even offered tickets by Sharons host, but couldn't go due to prevoius plans.
I should know for sure my dates in the next 2 days.


DAG, don't change your plans for me!!!! I'll be back to the 4th of July week, just not this year. And who knows, if July 4th opens up for Sharon, there is an outside chance we could do this year. But as of right now...it's a no go!

This year isn't shapeing up real good for Vegas Trips. I've got too many other commitments....maybe I should be committed! LOL
Right now we only have 4 trips planned for 08, to Vegas. When you get used to going often, 4 trips is almost like quiting cold turkey!

Wendell, that sounds like a good variety.

I have taken the Mob Tour a few times now. I strongly suggest watching the movie Casino a few times between now and then. It would really help if you knew all of the character in the movie, the real person he portrayed, and the actor that played the part. Such as Nicki Santuro portrayed Tony "The Ant" Spilotro, who was played by Joe Pesci. You don't need to memorize it all as much just being familiar with the names. A little internet research will go a long way. It is about a 2 1/2 hour bus ride with no bathroom breaks and includes a walk from the bus at the Flamingo to the pool area where the Bugsy memorial is. That walk is optional and you may remain on the bus if you don't feel like walking at that time.

Only 2 in our party, Sandy couldn't make it, prior commitments, and Sharons mom had made family plans for a California trip instead.

I've been having trouble with some acid reflux lately, so I'm trying to avoid the red sauses & italian spicy food. All of which I love, but they don't love me back! I'm told it's the new meds I'm on, but the meds seem to be helping, so I'm living with it for now.

You don't even need to deceid now, you can tell us where to go...(seems people love to tell me that lately) when we pick you folks up! Neither place do you need reservations for Lunch.

One of these days I'm going to count whether Pesci drops more F-bombs in Casino or Good Fellas.

Just finished watching the movie - they really knew how to have fun, huh?? I also noted that they didn't have to memorize many lyrics, huh??

lee-wendell,ya gotta trust me on this one,if you do italian in vegas go to a place called maggianos in the fashion show mall and get the family style dinner.many many choices of pastas meats salads sea foods that do not have the red sauce or gravy burp problem.they make a chicken manicotti dish that is to die for.mike might know about maggianos from the chicago restaurant and the chicago mafia eats there.so eat at maggianos and then do the mob tour!

As for Maggianos, It's too short of a trip for this one. Another problem is I like Maggianos 3rd floor neighboor Capitol Grill a lot as well.

my older brother loved steak tartare.if i remember corectly,that was like a small meatloaf with a raw egg on top with chopped onions now that would make me barf.
