Remember the old sandwich boards? Maybe you're too young. That's what it reminded me of though. A modern day sandwich board. It also reminded me of some old concert posters I had in the early 70s. I did not notice any external lights even though it was lit up brightly.
Imagine a back pack, and that's where you put batteries. Mount a 3ft by 5ft frame on the back pack so that it will stick up about 10 inches higher than your head. Put a 10x36 inch ad across the front and a 3x5 ft ad on the back. I guess you could put flush LED lights around the frame. Hire some kid to wear it around town. I guess that you could use internal lights and transparent ads.
It's a big sign. Yes, it is wider than the carrier in the cases I saw and could easily add uses jam to the pedestrian traffic. I guess if a person is more than 3 ft wide, it wouldn't be wider. I wouldn't expect the average person looking for a job walking up and down the strip in the middle of summer to be extremely wide. The ones I saw were kids, 18-25 maybe? They were in their street clothes as far as I could tell, kinda dark in color.
I'm not sure who the target audience is. I guess it would attract cars and pedestrians. It caught my attention, but not enough to read and remember what I read.
If this sign is such a good idea, I can think of several ways to take it a step forward. Use LEDs and make it a scrolling message. Aniamtion. Put a small computer in the backpack for unlimited display options.
