Marion "Suge" Knight was arrested yesterday near Decatur and Twain on a variety of charges. Suge is record producer for rap stars and has been shot and jailed more times than he probably remembers. He was the driver of the car that was carrying Tupak Shakur when he was gunned downed and killed in Las Vegas in front of the Westin. His record company, Death Row Records is now bankrupt. He is also a pretty big guy. I would guess him to be close to 400 pounds.

He just left a strip club that morning in a Cadillac Escalade with his girlfriend of 3 years. They were in an argument and he wasn't paying attention to driving and wrecked the Escalade. They got out of the SUV and continued to fight. When police arrived, he had her on the ground beating her and had a knife in one hand. He was in possession of lots of illegal drugs. Felony and misdemeanor charges have been filed.

Frankly, the only thing that surprises me is that Metro officers didn't fire a shot. Not even with a taser.
