I was a little surprised to receive an invite from Harrahs to a "gamblers trip" to Tunica, Mississippi.

Not exactly a junket - there was a price attached to the airfare, and no meals were included. But it was an invite for two specific dates in September or October, to fly out of Buffalo for $319 rt on Allegient, comp transfer to the casino, and 4 comp nights.

At first I thought perhaps my stop at Harrahs in Kansas City triggered something telling them I don't limit my gambling to Vegas. But David got the same invite.

Not going -not even sure I'd want to if I had the time. I just wonder if its a sign of more desperate times.

Anybody else get this offer?

Sharon gets these type of offers all the time, some with a slight charge $200 for 2 people, some with money on arivial to her, and some just plain free. The dates never match any free time we have, so it's a pretty mute point in this household. But it the dates where right, sure I'd go!

My offers are usually $169 pp for a 4-day junket to Laughlin .. if only they would change that to Rincon!

Daisy, Sharon gets them to almost everywhere, but usually only for 2 or 3 nights in the middle of the week, and mostly on some corny airline. It's always with tranfers included. I guess they don't want you wandering off somewhere else to play! LOL
