   Who Are You?
   Who Are You?
I was goofing around on the WynnDot website trying to find out the catch for a $199 room rate with $200 dining credit. Yep, there's a catch.

Anyway, if you make an online reservation for a room, the very first question has to do with your status. The options are...

Mr
Mrs.
Ms.
Dr.
Miss
Admiral
Ambassador
Bishop
Colonel
Father
General
Gov
Judge
Lady
Lord
Madam
Prince
Princess
Reverend
Sen.
Sheikh
Sir

In my twisted little mind, this brings up more questions than answers. I wonder if you get anything other than a distinct greeting when using various titles and what kind of service you would get at the front desk if a couple checked in under Bishop and Princess.

Suppose you were a member in the elite status and your title was not mentioned. Especially if your status allowed you to be offended by lesser titles getting a higher billing.

JMT, forget the status! What is that $199 deal with the $200 credit? How do you get that and what are the "catches" if any? Is it available for ENCORE or just the WYNN DOT?

Got a laugh out of "Bishop" and "Princess" though.

There's a reason I didn't mention the "deal". It didn't seem good enough to post. I didn't like the part that said two nights minimum. I didn't like rates and credits based on double occupancy only. I didn't like that it was only good in their Italian restaurant with reservations made in advance and all credit used in one dining session with meal charged to room and credits applied at checkout. Limited rooms, limited dates. If you feel froggy, jump. Use code WRHGEDF It sounds like a very expensive stay.

I wondered how you would book the room on the website (with or without the deal) if you were above the level of bishop...say a cardinal or pope. Suppose you were a rector. Or a Tibetan Lama. Or a Vice President or ex-President.

They do mention Lord. And if you were a King, that probably sounds okay, but you have to share it with Earls, Viscounts, Barons, and who knows what else.

The point is that they dug around to come up with a set of honorifics. How did they decided which ones to include and which ones to exclude.

Good and thoughtful questions, JMT. Don't they have a blank space for "OTHER"?

That would seem to alleviate that problem.

I have Royal Blood in my family and they would refuse any offer from any Las Vegas joint (free or otherwise) unless the Queen showed a similar interest.

Those "catches" you failed to mention initially are what is most interesting to me and I would assume for others too! Thanks for those interesting details.

If I had an option to choose the restaurant, I would never choose an Italian one! I was born and raised in North Beach (the true Italian neighborhood in San Francisco) when everyone made their own ravioli, spaghetti sauce, and home made wines; so I do have a cultured taste for real Italian cooking and seldom fine dining in what are called Italian restaurants a memorable experience,

In fact I have only found two restaurants in the whole Bay Area that still serve real, old style ravioli.

So I would be surprised if I'd find a great Italian meal anyplace in Las Vegas and that includes The Hole in the Wall among others.

So actually none of those "catches" interest me at all. but thanks for mentioning them. Those are the parts of LV "fish hooks" that interest me the most.
