How is Mandalay Bay as a place to stay?
Believe it or not, I'm still trying to figure out my Nov. 22-24 stay. I gave up for a couple weeks because my Caesar's connection never got back to me and I didn't want to bug him again. I went on line last night and found a reasonably good rate at Mandalay; I use the term reasonable very loosely here. I haven't walked around there in a few years. Is it nice? How would you compare it to the Paris, for instance, in terms of crowd it attracts and room quality.

I think that you would find it a step up from Paris in many ways. It's location is less than desirable and exaggerated in bad traffic. It is somewhat hip and your son may like it. Most of the food gets praises. It has the House Of Blues. It has the Shark Reef attraction. There is a mall between it and Luxor. The rooms were nice last time I saw one.

The food at their Fleur de Lys is pricey but WONDERFUL!

In my opinion, MB is far superior to Paris. In fact, Paris is far down my list of the better places to stay in LV.

I stayed at Monte Carlo which my companion preferred over Mandelay Bay. He said that MB was too pricey for what you got. MC was ok. I was surprised the last time I stayed in LV, at the Flamingo and how nice the refurbished rooms were. Right across from the fountains of Bellagio. I could watch out my huge window. Also there were 2 TV's, a big screen in the bedroom and a small one built into the bathroom mirror, which I watched while I luxuriated in the bubble bath.

LOL, you've given me a new goal, Vickie. Harrah's is nice enough to keep giving me free rooms at the Flamingo, but my new goal is to talk my way into one of the remodeled "GO" rooms! It won't bother me that much if I don't make it since I like the regular rooms and love the location and ease of getting in and out of the place. I would prefer to watch the Bellagio fountains rather than the Caesars fountains<g>, and that small TV/bubble bath sounds delightful.
