JMT gives great advise on Las Vegas sites.........

I think it was JMT that gave high praises for Jeff McBride's Magic Over the Edge show at the Palace Station.

Based on his praise for the show I went and enjoyed it immensely. (See previous post.)

This evening we went to a place he recommended earlier out on Eastern Avenue called The Coachman's Inn and had a couple of great Martinis and a very good Chicken Piccata dinner. It's definitely the place I'll be taking my LV guests the next time I am in town.

Met and shook hands with the owner (attorney) and enjoyed the casual atmosphere.

Entrees are in the $17 dollar range and the chef knows how to really cook. Wait staff was also very impressive.

For you who plan to meet up there, the side room is semi private and can hold 20 comfortably. I strongly suggest a couple of Martinis and the Chicken Piccata.

Thanks for the Heads Up, JMT.

That's great will. I'm not a martini guy and I don't drink adult beverages much at all these days. I have enjoyed the Coachman's Inn every time I go. Breakfast was a tad weak although the breakfast potatoes were great. Lunch and dinner has always been fine. The Special Of The Day is usually a good bet too. There almost always seems to be some friendly Las Vegas "old timers" at the bar. I'd bet you could share some great stories there.

I think it's a pretty good pub and grub in the $15-20 range, especially for old Vegas fans. Isn't Piccata an Italian dish? For you to give a nod to an Italian dish and a martini in the same joint is quite an honor.<g>
