Okay, I took one for the team. Knowing they are a chain, I figured they have a very predictable kitchen with consistent qualities and quantities, as well as no chef creativity.
I got there about 6:30 and the place was buzzing. There were about 15 tables being used in the bar area and some people in the dining room. I was seated at a table in the bar area. It was pretty nice as it and about 15 other tables are opened up to the casino. Service was fast and friendly. The breakfast menu is very limited with bacon, saussage, eggs, pancakes, in various forms that take up most of the single page menu. I had the steak and eggs which was the most expensive thing on the menu and my bill was $14 out the door.
It was advertised as a Jack Daniels flat iron steak. Who am I to argue? It was about 3 inches by 3 inches and maybe a half inch thick, which is small but pretty thick for a breakfast steak. I suspect it's a steak that the serve for dinner that's cut in half. It was very edible. Most meals come with 3 eggs. Mine were scrambled. Again edible, but forgetable. They had little texture. Maybe they were beaten silly or maybe they came from a jug instead of a shell. The toast was barely browned around some of the edges. It was mostly warm slices of bread. Butter was on the side which was nice. The potatoes were interesting. They were cut into silver dollar slivers, seasoned and fried. The obvious assumption was potato scraps or mashed potatoes pressed into shape. If they were, it was a pretty good imitation. They didn't taste like fake potatoes.
Overall the meal wasn't bad. It was better than IHOP or Dennys. It couldn't hold a candle to any of the breakfast joints in town. The quantities were good and I didn't walk away hungry. I probably won't be back any time soon, but if you are in a situation where it's convenient and you don't want to go to The Rio or Palms, and don't want a buffet, it could be an option. And it does open at 6am which might be a plus for some.
