Well, as the self-proclaimed "Food Snob" of TalkVegas, I've been to a lot of these places. These are all the VERY high-end places in Vegas.
JMT, I wouldn't say you have "no class," you just choose not to drop 200 bucks on dinner!
Here are some of my thoughts on these restaurants:
Aureole (Mandalay Bay), Bradley Ogden (Caesar's), and Alex (Wynn Dot) are all excellent. I've eaten at each one multiple times and everything was great - food, service, atmosphere. Bradley O now actually offers a fixed-price meal that is actually affordable - appetizer, entree, and dessert for a "reasonable" $49 - or at least they had that the last time I was there. I actually met Bradley Ogden himself the first time I was there. He came over to the table to see how everything was. We got to taking and he took us on a tour of the kitchen!! Aureole has a very fun atmosphere and has probably the most unusual things on the menu. Alex is the most elegant and expensive of these 3.
Alize (Palms) and Michael Mina (Bellagio) are both good but not extraordinary. Alize has nice views of the Strip (since it's on a high floor at The Palms) but I don't remember much about the food. Michael Mina is mostly seafood.
Le Cirque (Bellagio), Picasso (Bellagio), and Daniel Boulud (Wynn Dot) were all awful in my opinion. Expensive food mixed with snooty waiters and HORRIBLY LOUD atmospheres. Picasso always gets good ratings from everyone and maybe I was there on an off night but I hated the place so much I vowed I'd never go back. The wait staff at Daniel Boulud was so bad and ruined a meal where I was treating 5 of my friends for my 50th birthday. The food at Le Cirque was excellent the first time I was there but the place was obnoxiously loud and the waiters were nasty. I thought maybe I had gone on a bad night so I went back, only to encounter the same thing. I won't go back there again.
I will also comment that Joel Robuchon (MGM Grand) and Guy Savoy (Caesar's) have totally out-priced themselves. I wanted to try these places but the prices are outrageous. You see, even I have limits on what I'll spend for dinner!!
