I have become a big procrastonator lately. Tonight we just booked our room reso's for our upcoming November trip. I am going to get burned one of these times for waiting so long, but it worked out this time again for us. We got 4 nights at Caesars (Sharon gets an extra $200 cash for staying) on the strip and 4 nights at the California (Hawaian Package), downtown. We just about had enough of the rooms at MSS, so we mover to the California for this trip. You know I am actually dreading seeing our host at MSS. I almost feel like we're cheating on her. Our new host at the California told me what tower to ask for on check in, but now, I don't remember. I guess I'll call before I go and ask again. She was very welcoming, and offered a lot of information.
Now I guess it's time to start work on our February trip! I looked into Tahoe, but Sharon says it's to cold for that in February. I think she just might like the place. But we'll wait for a warmer time of year.

Lee, Yea!... Tahoe and Reno are both very chilly that time of year. Great for skiing and snowboarding but way too cold for much of anything else like sight-seeing or simply crossing the street to get to the other side!
I strongly suggest you postpone that visit until the summer months when it is really a beautiful place to see.
Just make sure you include the Thunderbird Lodge tour and take a tour around the lake on that paddlewheel steamer. And check out the mountain tops at Squaw Valley and Heavenly Valley too. Those tram rides are really worth the price you pay.
Lee - if you happen to see your MSS host, just be honest with her. Perhaps she could do something about the rooms there? It's probably better that she knows there a problem instead of not knowing what's going on.
Mike, Your right, I just don't really feel the need to complain. She has been good to us over the years, I just have had enough with the rooms. We find ourselves playing more and more at the California Hotel too, so it makes sense we move.
Will, it's best we save Tahoe for a warmer time of year, but I normally have other things planned for the warmer months. Somethings got to give, if we are ever to make that trip!

Lee, Tahoe is a very cold but very beautiful place to be in the winter. Make sure that you ride the tram to the top for a spectacular view of the lake. It's adjacent to the state line by Harrah's.

OK, Lee. Thanks for telling me that. Now I don't have to go looking for you on the slopes and in those un-crowded casinos where I'd probably have to offer you a martini for meeting up.
We are doing the Christmas holidaze family gathering thing at one of the cabins in Tahoe City which is just a few miles south of Crystal Bay, Nevada which has one casino that attracts a decent group of players and feeds you decently (the Biltmore) and two other casinos that are usually entirely empty (not sure about weekends though) and kind of sad to go into nowadays.... (the Cal/Neva which was the former hangout of the Sinatra/Monroe clan and robust gatherings and the Crystal Bay Club which you can now shoot a cannon through without disturbing the peace.)
We'll be going up there to disturb the local residents and look for the bears and throw down a martini or two once the sun sets over the west side of the Sierra or comes up over the same range of mountains on the east.
Kind of looking forward to it because Tahoe is actually very beautiful at any time of the year except when the snow turns to mud and runs into the beginning of Summer.
