The new Fuddruckers will open next week at The Orleans.
I was at the current location on the west side of town and had an opportunity to talk with the General Manager. I was telling him how this establishment wasn't reminding me of the ones I knew of in Texas. It seems this particular version of the franchise operates in Iowa, Nebraska, and Nevada, so those would mostly seem like each other. I guess Fudds doesn't hold the license holders to the exacting standards of a place like McDonald's which is terribly predictable.
Anyway, I was told that the Orleans store will open next week and to expect it to be different than any of the other stores. I have no details yet. It is hard to put in this forum the excitement the GM had about this new joint. And I'm sorta torn on how to convert his GM restaurant enthusiasm into a customer experience.
I accepted the comps and will check on it soon.
So many burger joints, so little time. I need some help.

Had a couple of burgers at Fudd's in Los Angeles and was not super impressed. I'm still an "In n Out" sort of guy and probably will be for a long while to come.
I still enjoy their Protein Burgers (the Double-Double Cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce without the bread) and the fact that the catchup is still served in those little white cups that you can dip each of your freshly cut fries into before gulping 'em down,
Are you aware that "In n Out" is not a franchise and that each and every one is owned by one big family? At present they are only located in California, Nevada and Arizona.
I have never been in any "In n Out" that is not consistently busy and I have to admit that they do train their crews right.
In-N-Out remains privately owned and the Snyder family of Baldwin Park, Cal has no plans to take the company public or franchise any units.
I bet they clear a million dollars a day!
One of their LV locations is right down the road from the Orleans by the freeway. I wonder if the Orleans approached them first?
I love "In n Out" but I'll definitely visit Fuddrucker's on my next Las Vegas stopover for old times sake.

That's great will. Put Kilroys and LBS on your list too. Fud was good but I was underwhelmed due to my past experience of much better Fudds around the country.
i "hear" talk of a new food court at the orleans at the subway area.sounds like it will be more than just a fuds.so terrible mikes shuts down? i noticed the little snack bar/dog shop near the sport book has shut down and will assume for now that it is moving over to the "food court" you would think there would be some pre anouncement on the orleans web site but nada.

At 0500 this morning, Fuddrucker's opened at The Orleans. It seems kinda small. One good thing it has going for it is that it will be open 24/7 365. This location does serve breakfast in the mornings in addition to the regular menu items that are always available.
I stopped by after having breakfast with Wendell at the buffet. I was too full from the buffet to try a Fudd. I'm sure I will have lots of chances in the future.
The Orleans Fudd is located in the new food court across from the poker room. It is kinda close to the parking garage elevators and TGIFridays.

Vickie, I need all of the above and more. There are so many burgers and so little time. I think Kilroys would be a great place for an interview. And it's not just about the burger. There are lots of other eateries to evaluate. I'm mostly a see food eater. Just leave off the onions, stir fried stuff, and fancy sauces.
dag, the food court really isn't finished yet. Right now, it's just Fudds on the end, Sbarro is just finishing up, Baskin Robbins has a long way to go, and Subway is open. That explains the Orleans website. Fudds website has never seemed updated to me and that might be because of the franchising.
