I just got back from a trip to PA,VA,MD,LA & TX. While in Louisiana I stayed at a terrific resort, The Paragon (The Pearl of Louisiana) in Marksville. My sister-in-law's kids work there so we got comped for everything. It was a very nice place and the buffet rivaled the good ones in Las Vegas. Saw KC & The Sunshine Band (Get Down!) Then we went to a riverboat casino in Shreveport, where I won $1100 (clear) in about 20 minutes on a nickle Wizard of Oz machine. That paid for the trip and part of my property taxes.

I'm curious which bonus round you won on with the Wizard of Oz machine. This past summer, I got into a flying monkeys bonus round and won about $400 from them. $1100 is incredible - congrats!

Mike D-I was winning all over the place. It was the first time I'd played that kind of machine but the flying monkeys were up, Glinda, all kinds of stuff. I won $800 real fast-cashed it out 'cause I thought my sister-in-law was headed for the buffet, but she wasn't so I put $20 in and won another $400 but between that and the Paragon the next night I ended up with $1100 and got a cashier's check & mailed it home so I wouldn't have to carry all that heavy cash. (Where's that smirking emoticon?)

My sister-in-law finally gave me the name of the riverboat casino-Harrah's! I looked at my player's card & then remembered when I got it they said I was registered already in Vegas so they just issued me a generic card that had several on the back. I guess it's the Harrah's group. Is The Flamingo a part of that?
