Well, Terry and I made it home on Sunday after 12 days in Las Vegas. I will have a short trip report but I wanted to say thanks to all the folks who gave Terry and myself a warm welcome at the Talk Vegas meet. It was not hard to put a name to a face except for some reason I thought Lee was Joe and visa versa. Thanks to gangster Wendell and Maxine for being such good hosts and to Lee, Sharon, Sandy, Joe, Lina, Ralph and Daisy for the welcome when we got there a little late.
Also an appreciative thank you to Joe and Daisy for the cd's. We alternated them whenever we were in the car. Now its time to start planning for the next trip.

It was great to see everyone again, it's been a year since I
was in LV and I had a good time. Joe thanks for the Lena CD,
I listen to it while I'm getting ready for work. Thanks again.

Sandy, it was good seeing you again. No problem on the CDs. I'm glad Lena made it possible to do this. Otherwise you'd just have to buy them her website. I hope everyone enjoys them.

The meet was a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who attended in one way or the other. It was great to finally meet Jim and Terry. You folks are a lot of fun. And weren't those shrimps good.

It's unanimous - no short trip reports. Nice to meet the two of you - hope you enjoyed the music a little more than Lee<g>.

P.S. to Sandy - did you hit the progressive Royal?

Joe, The one half of the shrimp I got was very good. I left my seat to talk to Lee and while I was gone Terry must have felt they were very good as well cause there was nothing left when I got back. Either that or Maxine kept Terry busy while Wendell raided the plate

Daisy, We enjoyed both cd's. Once I listened to your's I remembered watching him in concert on the local P.B.S station.

Daisy I am very sorry to say I didn't hit the royal. I played
more video poker this trip than I ever have. Usually I play
slots but this trip they just took my money. The afternoon
at MMS I hit 9 4 of a kinds that is the most I ever hit. Well
I will just have the try again next trip.

Hey Gang - we really enjoyed seeing everyone and we really liked the Meet. Thanks for coming!! How about an input on being served at a table versus the "private meeting room" where you have to serve yourself. (Personally, I thought Main Street did a good job for us!) Wendell

When is the next Meet? I'd like to try to make it.

Vickie: I host an annual TV meet every Thanksgiving, however; other meets are held throughout the year, depending who is in town and when. These are usually announced ahead of time here on the board, so the bottom line is keep yourself updated by reading the board. Will be nice to meet you in person. Best Regards: Wendell

Wendell, I liked it better this way. I know you put a lot of effort into the private room at Orleans, but this worked for me much better. I wasn't in the drinking mood that day, but it was better set up to order a rum and coke and chat. It also allows guests to combine a meal or snack with the meet, so they don't loose too much vacation time visiting with us all.
I also think there are several places around town that would work as well as the brew pub. So if for some reason you need to change or just want to try something that looks or sounds interesting, I think this gang is up for it! IMPO

Lee - Thanks for the input - I kinda agree with you and am leaning this way for 2009 - we will see what the rest of the gang likes. Wendell
