Because that will mean I'll make my connection to Las Vegas.
I know JMT considers this cold weather season, but outside the ground is white and we have already hit the high for the day of 28. So even 45 at night will seem balmy to me!
Hope all of you who were in town for the November meet didn't take home all the casino's money and there is some left over - and that Sandy, Daisy and others didn't use up ALL the quads at mss!

Better you in Cin City than me.
Don't pack any cold weather. We're doing fairly well.
If you can find any money from the slot machines, take all you can get.
Also, if you have room on your to do list,
The Mirage Volcano officially opens on Monday, Downtown tree lighting on Tuesday Viva McDonalds debuts on Thursday, Holiday story telling at Reed Whipple Center on Saturday Holiday card and poem workshop at Reed Whipple Center on Saturday Holiday Synchronized Swimming Show at the Municipal pool on Saturday
If it makes you feel any better, it was ZERO DEGREES in Chicago yesterday morning. I had been in New York City for the weekend where it was a "pleasant" 35 degrees for most of the time. But when I got home, it was just miserably COLD!!
Kes - have a great time - good luck to you. And say "Hi" to Glinda for us!
Don't worry Kes, we left lots of cash in those machines just for you. The Zeus machine closest to the total rewards booth was paying Terry pretty good and the Jackpot party just behind there was also ok. Forget about Glinda. Terry hit the flying monkey bonus and twice in a row it paid -ZERO-. They weren't like that the month before so I think she's in hibernation for the winter.
Also, in case you didn't know. I didn't know there was a short walkway between IP and Harrah's at the back where you go to the monorail. I just happened to park on the second level and saw a house phone that I wanted to use and walked out the doors and saw it. It beats walking the street through the carnival court. Terry really liked this when I told her about it and she ended up splitting her time between the two whenever I was at the Bellagio playing poker.

Well I'm back, there will be a trip report but maybe not until next weekend - got regular work, a consulting job, and a heavy December work schedule for David to support.
But I did make my connection in Cincy - only because we were delayed leaving Rochester (13 degrees, snow) and then delayed landing in Cincy (33 degrees - freezing rain) - which meant my departing flight was delayed also. So, an hour late to Vegas is not bad at all.
I will say that all you Vegas locals and anyone still planning a future trip - the royals are still waiting for you. And I played a LOT of vp (for me!) - but Daisy's wish did come true!
I'm so happy my wish came true. I'm even happy about the way the delay worked out.
I guess I should stop laughing and mention that I was cheerfully waiting for Kes to show up in Las Vegas for that brunch, and the extra hour or so allowed me to make a couple of interesting purchases at the GoodWill store. I should be working on my trip report, but one of my cats is snoozing on my surviving notes, so I'm catching up on mail and listening to some new music - Pete Vallee, CJ Rawlings and an assortment put together by Kes & Bippy. Thanks guys!
