   Entertainment Book
The 2009 Entertainment Book is on sale (www.Entertainment.com) with $10 off its regular $25 cost. I never did find a complete list of all the coupons(didn't look very hard<g>), but I skimmed the info and found ONE dining coupon that by itself will pay for the book, and I'll have lots of time to read the rest of the offers later. smile

Daisy,
I'm not buying the entertainment book this year.
I got tired of lugging it to and from Vegas and using it very little.
I'll be interested to know how much use you really got out of the thing come years end. I threw away a complete book in November!

i gotta believe that this year there will be so many deals and coupons that you will not need a book.the locals will almost eat for free and see shows for half off and sleep for half off and that will not be just on select dates.wynn. has already said that there will not be any layoffs, fill my hotels up and that means low rates folks

I hope you are right about the locals. And I hope you can come down and get in on the deals.

I've had the entertainment book every year I've been here and barely use 10 or so coupons, mainly due to laziness. I have seen many people try to use them and get turned down. Now that the economy has turned sour, I see signs that say their coupons are not accepted, and I find coupons of places that don't exist. Still, for the frugal shopper, there are some great deals to be had.

I'm not sure when I last bought an Entertainment Book - probably 5 to 10 years. I'll save $30 with that one coupon, so the rest of the book will either be gravy or garbage.

I think that I have used more online coupons (from entertainment.com) that I print out at the last minute than the ones I tear out of their book. A lot of those online coupons can be used once a month.

Lee, I don't know (at this time) if I will consider the rest of the coupons gravy or garbage - I will let you know since I'm aware you don't get your jollies picking on me<g>. However, my message seemed to get lost since I wanted you and the rest of our readers know they could get the book for $15 right now - at that price, they can make up their own minds. smile (and you've only saved $15!)

Daisy, did you order your book yet? I can save you and additional $15 off of your price.

Well, daisy, I did a stupid thing with the entertainment book a few years back, I gave them a credit card number and signed up for the "just ship me a new one offer" Another words they kept me on file and just shipped the new one every year. Well, I lost all the information on cancelling the deal, and they kept shipping, until this year when my credit card expired....
I guess what was the real closer on the deal was when some of those deals weren't honored or the restaurant just closed, that really started to make me rethink the deal.
@ $15 it shouldn't be hard to get your investment back, I am just tired of chasing my own tail trying to save a couple of bucks. M2C
BTW, I would hope that I never pick on anyone here on talkvegas or for that matter any place. I do however reserve my right to my own opinions and I do express them here, as is the nature of this BB. I know for a fact my opinions often times do not reflect the majority of views here, and I'm good with that.

LOL, I'm having a very similiar experience trying to shut down an extra Sirius account - would you believe that I switched the account to a credit card expiring in November and that the bank still let the charge go through in December? mad I'm going to use some advice TobyTater gave me about 3 years ago - will switch Sirius to a one-time number issued by my bank.

We're certainly taking different paths; I haven't used that many coupons lately, but this deal just appealed to me - it will be interesting to see how I feel about it toward the end of the year. I'm getting entirely too lazy to go very far out of my way for the sake of a coupon, but I will use them if I spot one that fits into my plans - and I love my senior discount<g>, especially when I get carded. laugh laugh laugh

Lee, I was on the renew every year plan too. Then I got three extra books this year. When I called to complain, I went up the ladder a few steps and ended up with a conference call with an e-book manager and their fraud department. They told me I could keep the books or ship them back at my expense, and if they showed up on my credit card, dispute it. It wasn't exactly identity theft because nobody used my credit card info. I think what happened was their web site got hacked and the hackers were randomly ordering books out of their database.
