Are there any members who have dined here and care to provide a review? We have reservations for dinner there during our upcoming trip and would like to hear from those who have experienced this restaurant. Thank you in advance for any information!

Candi, Great question and I also look forward to any response.

I have never dined there but I have stopped to read the menu that is posted immediately at the front of the entrance.

All I can recall is that it said "$350 per person".

It also mentioned something about what the chef prepared that makes it so expensive and I also recall that I didn't see anything mentioned on that menu that was the least bit appealing to me.

It seemed to be all the things I've never tried before. (I wonder how he found that out?)

SO as I was standing there with my mouth open in surprise, two finely dressed couples came out of the restaurant and I asked them, "How was your $350 dinner?!"

And all of them immediately laughed!

" Where does it say "$350"? It was a lot higher than that!"

I said, "Thanks!" and merely left in search of a peanut butter sandwich, but ended up at good old Wolfgang's and had a twelve buck pizza.

Please give us a full report. I hear it's wonderful, But I didn't hear that from those four fancy dressers on the above mentioned occasion.

Ill remakrs about the price one pays, always ruins the occasion. I think that came from Shakespear.

Candi - I've always been curious about Joel Robuchon. I'm a lover of fine dining and have tried many of the top tier restaurants in Las Vegas - Alex, Aureole, Eiffel Tower, Le Cirque, Picasso, Fleur de Lys, Bradley Odgen, Alize. Renoir at the Mirage used to be my favorite and I'm sorry it closed.

When Joel Robuchon opened at MGM Grand, I was very excited to try it and contemplated having Thanksgiving dinner there this past year. But when I saw the prices, I had to back off. I just thought it was too much and felt that there has to be a point where I say "enough is enough."

Robuchon and Guy Savoy (at Caesar's) opened at approximately the same time and both of them went for a price level even higher than Picasso, Le Cirque, and Alex, which I believe were the highest-priced restaurants in Las Vegas at the time. I thought they were trying to out-do each other, as well as show-up the other top restaurants, and felt that the prices were approaching outrageous levels. I'm sure the food is delicious and of a very high quality but I'll probably never go to either because of the very high prices. (Incidentally, I dined at Aureole at Thanksgiving and it was excellent as always.)

That said, I would LOVE to hear about your meal at Joel Robuchon when you go there and hope you have a wonderful time!
