We booked US Air (again) for our March trip - for aprx $200 less than our November trip - I might could have done better, however; I really like the times of arrival/departure of our flights i.e. we leave DFW at aprx 7:30 am and arrive McCarran at aprx 8;30 am, giving us an entire day on our first day. Times of arrival and departure can be very important (even more so than airfare - i.e. ATA will get into McCarran at 6;30 pm, losing almost an entire day in Vegas (although you will be charged for an entire day by your hotel - we almost missed a dining meet with Lee and company one trip by taking ATA - no more! We have been booked on the AIRBUS going out on previous trips, however; this trip, we are on 737s both ways. I guess the bottom line is check your transportation details carefully,.

Wendell - I totally agree with you on the importance of arrival times. While I don't like getting up at 4:30AM, I usually take a 7AM flight on American out of Chicago to get me to Vegas at 9AM so I have a full day ahead of me. American used to have a 6:30AM flight back to Chicago which got me home at noon but that doesn't fly anymore so the earliest I can leave is 10AM which gets me home at 3:30PM. Still not too bad.

I have a business trip coming up in early March. My conference is at Wynn. I went to book the hotel and they were offering a "special conference rate of $299." I thought I could do better with my players card so I called the hotel and while the Wynn couldn't do any better, I got $169 at Encore. I'm looking forward to that.
