   Wynn/Encore Offer
   Wynn/Encore Offer
I have an email offer that I've been sitting on for a while.

It is one night at the Wynn for $100 and includes $100 free credit. Or upgrade to Encore for $40 more.

There are no details on how the $100 credit is applied. I strongly suspect it is $100 to use on my slot card on a machine as opposed to dining credit or deducted from room charges.

This is a tough decision for me because I'd like first hand experience at the Encore to compare it to my Wynn stays. I would really like a free room plus $100 slot play. OTOH, my level of play doesn't hardly justify any offer at all.

It is easy to look at this offer as staying at the Encore for $40. The reality would most likely be that I would stay at the Encore, play a lot of video poker and get a $140 bill on my credit card a month later.

JMT,
That's the way it always happens to me.
I usually end up getting mad at myself, because sometime while I was Playing with that "free money", I was ahead of the game, but I didn't quit! LOL

I'd take any offer that involved the Wynn and, better yet, the Encore!

I visited the Encore earlier this week and was very impressed.

The Encore casino appears to be a lot smaller than the Wynn but it is very attractive with some very interesting decorative items such as the bright red chandeliers, the golden dragon wall hanging "thing" on the rear wall of the Chinese dining room, the eye catching red flowers with the shiny blue background behind one of the casino bars, the butterfly decor throughout the entrance area, and the restaurant (Switch) that changes its walls every 30 minutes.

I was also surprised that most table minimums were $10 (midweek, folks) and that the penny machine that I was playing actually paid me a profit of sixty-cents. (I always quit a winner!)

Didn't look too hard but I didn't see any 6 to 5 Blackjack tables.

Also of interest is the fact that there is a separate Encore entrance for those guests staying in the Tower Suites. It has its own entrance and reception area making for a very nice touch for anyone willing to pay $350+ a night.

Also, I recall being able to see the pool area from within the casino floor, And one of the casino bars looks out directly over the entire pool complex.

All in all, it appears to be much more "intimate" than the Wynn dot and with just a bit more eye appeal.

"Sinatra's" appears to be an interesting place to have a bowl of spaghetti and authentic meatballs, but I strongly suspect that they'll charge much more than the normal $3.00 Blue Plate Special that I've been paying at Mama Mia's Pizzaria since the times when good old Dino was singing "That's AMore" and Sinatra was in the "outs" in Hollywood.

One fine diner on his way out of Sinatra's was heard to say, "Datt was one fine lasagna! Now I gotta go out and find a valet guy to punch in da nose!" (Inside joke!)
