Sports Illustrated in making a swimsuit issue marketing campaign to promote this years version. The girls were on Letterman a couple of nights ago, then flew to Las Vegas for public relations showings at Las Vegas attractions including Margaritaville and the Wynn. Today they will fly to L.A. Most all of my co-workers who met the airplane when it arrived said they thought the girls were too young and too thin. (most of my co-workers are older and overweight)
The plane they will be flying on is a Southwest jet with the standard blue top paint job. This plane is distinct as it has one of those marketing wraps like you see all over the hotels in Las Vegas. This is a special wrap, certified for flight. This wrap features the cover girl from the swimsuit issue across the fuselage.
The appearance of the plane has been met with obviously mixed opinions. A lot of bitter women are offended, a lot of aggressive men love it, and most people don't really care.
I don't know how long the wrap will stay on.
