Heidi Fleiss is giving up on her plans to open a brothel that caters to women. Her "stud farm" idea was just too much work and politics for her. She never even took the first step which was to apply for a brothel license. She will retain her "Dirty Laundry" laundromat and may open more of them.

She is trying hard to get into alternative energy projects in Nevada with anyone that will listen to her and take her seriously. She had a shot at a wind farm but it costs too much money for her.

She is also in the progress of making a tough decision. She either wants to build a new home based on a Frank Lloyd Wright house or stay in her double wide trailer.

She still faces wire fraud charges, drug charges, and a law suit over a previous residence where her 25 parrots made the trailer unlivable.

I hope no one is surprised by this?

My own personal thoughts are these, She's another nut-job (no pun intended) who moved to Vegas. Thinking this is the place to cash in on their reputation???
Vegas seems to attract these types, like a moth to a flame. And in the end, almost always with the same outcome.

True, her residence is Pahrump. That could be a technicality depending on how you look at it. And we do have our share of nut jobs. We have more than our share of high profile nuts and low profile nuts, based on the population.

I doubt if I would lose any sleep if Heidi became neighbors with OJ, who is pretty much a Reno resident at this time.

In the low profile nuts, it seems like we have an unusually high ratio of irresponsible parents who endanger and/or kill their kids with swimming pools, animals, cars, etc.

The level of nut jobs in Southern Nevada outside of Las Vegas is almost mythic (Dennis Quaid and family in Vegas Vacation, Dennis Quaid in Independence Day). I can't remember his name but we had a guy on WLS radio overnight from Pahrump that specialized in UFO's and such like.
Of course, the Area 51 fans provide an ongoing source of entertainment.

However Florida seems to have Nevada beat for high profile child tragedies.

I almost forgot the grad student trying to auction off her virginity in some deal with a brothel.
