Las Vegas ranks 7th in a survey of the saddest (depressing) city's in the U.S. Portland Oregon is #1. Vegas was #1 in suicides as well.

After holding out on the M Resort for 3 years, I missed the grand opening. I started thinking about how I went to Encore on opening night and how fun the crowds were. I started thinking about how fun a $75 room with $75 free play is when the credit card bill comes in.

The great weather we had the last couple of weeks is slowly turning to ugly. The weather was great for NASCAR weekend and I was all set to cover it and a matrix of plans to get that weekend off fell though.

To cap it all off, I saw Danny Gans at the Encore Theater. I'd rather have 2 weeks of snow than go through that again.

So how are things in the frozen tundra?

Lol, If Danny Gans can't get you happy then all is lost.
It is still very cold around here but no snow unlike our friends in the northeast.

I think I saw that survey and Chicago was ranked #4? Chicago can be depressing in the winter but now that there are touches of Spring in the air, things are looking up!

I'm doing much better. Daylight Saving Time is here. Spring has sprung. 2 Lena Prima shows for $10 each with $2.50 ginger ales served by nice cocktail waitresses. My class on Thursday at Springs Preserve was on the founding/early families of Las Vegas. And my weekend is about to begin.
