Dr. Lonnie Hammargren was in court last week on charges that his home has building and permit violations. He has until October to bring it up to code.

There are a lot of ways to look at this situation. There are very few people that love Las Vegas and have done so much to help Las Vegas as Lonnie. And on that list, Lonnie is the only one who has been an astronaut, a brain surgeon, and lieutenant governor. He's 71 years old and has been collecting for a very long time.

OTOH, the law is the law. And he is in violation.


Maybe this can be worked out in a civil manner.
