I assume it will start at Victorville and then head on to Las Vegas because there is plenty of vacant land/open space between those two destinations to build the railway on.
Once you get through Victorville heading back into Los Angeles you start heading into built up areas unless you head west from Victorville through Little Rock and then southwest a bit up the Pear Blossom Hwy and then down to the Magic Mountain/Santa Clarita area.
That could be a darn good route to follow if they ever do decide to bring the rail closer into the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
At one time about 25 years ago they were giving serious consideration to building an international airport in Antelope Valley a couple miles north of the Little Rock area to relieve the anticipated congestion at LAX.
I wonder whatever became of that plan?
And what ever happened to the LA to LV passenger train service?
