MikeD, ,JMT, nice to meet other men of impeccable taste!
And I also agree with you on your Encore selection.
For some unknown reason I seem to notice a place's lighting and sound environments without actually noticing it.
It's hard to explain that precisely but Steve Wynn knows exactly what I mean to the Nth degree,
I am not sure about this but there must be companies that do nothing but plan for interior lighting and accoustics within buildings such as casinos and hotels.
I'm not a snob or nothing but I feel immediately comfortable in an environment that provides "comforting lighting and accoustics" without even thinking or being aware about it when I enter such an environment.
So I have to assume that there are such professionals as "lighting and accoustical engineers" and that Steve Wynn hires the very best of them when he plans/builds these ultra impressive and comfortable resorts.
It can't just be that he bought and installed the best light bulbs available nor installed the finest accoustical ceiling. There must be a lot more to it than that.
In particular the Encore casino at dusk with the lighting from the outside pool-garden area plays nicely with the interior lighting within the casino's gaming areas.
It's something you have to see in order to appreciate. And I'm sure it was planned to be that way.
Hey, maybe I am a snob after all if there is such a thing as a lighting and accoustical, blue blood snob.
Make a comparison and I'm sure you'll realize that the Venetian doesn't even know that lighting and accoustical engineers exist.
Or do they?
