Do you realize the implications of this? The County Commissioners are saying money is running out. Our primary school system has one of the lowest paid per teacher, lowest spending per student in the nation. So what did they do? They paid the County employees an increase of 25% to 50% in 2008. It is so easily verified. TransparentNevada.com is nonpartisan. They used the same type of material in both years, the same calculations, they took into account all the factors like 'benefits'. Its not a small amount of money, It's likely over an extra billion dollars paid to employees that are already some of the highest paid county workers in the Nation. On average most custodians are paid more than most school teachers!
