Well, I guess we didn't get enough this past week, so yesterday about 6 we took the drive I was dreading. We drove down the interstate to Harrahs Chester. I new PA casino opened by Harrahs just about an hour away. Sharon wanted to go, I went dragging my heals expecting a real crummy time.
The drive wasn't bad, 1hr 10min to get to the place. I could shave that time down with practice. The place was full. I bought some power ball tickets before I went inside at a machine. The machine ate my $20 but gave no tickets! Got that resolved. Into the casino. No live tables here, but they got those virtual BJ tables, roulette machines.
First thing I spy.... Super times pay machines, a whole bank of them! WooHoo, or so I thought. While the casino is nice, and personnel helpful for the most part, my machine had some bad buttons. This I will find to be the norm, not the exception.
Dinner on Harrahs in the diamond lounge. Now for you west coasters that have never made it to the east coast harrahs, here on the east coast, they feed you. Not some silly little finger food, on napkins. Assorted fruit, salad, cold pasta salad, hot penne pasta, roasted reds, cajun catfish, soup, assorted sandwiches Pastrami, turkey, bologna. fresh whole fruit. Now thats a diamond lounge!!!
Played till 3am headed home. When we get to our car in the Harrahs parking garage, we find it's been hit. Hit hard! security and police are called, no one seen nothing, you get the picture. The Chester police are nice, polite, but in the end, the Cadi ain't probably ever going to be the same.
Home around 4:30am, 57min drive time! I think I can still improve, we made a wrong turn coming out of the Harrahs that gave us a tour of Chester. There are some badlands in Chester! But the smashed up cadi fit right in, and we escaped alive! LOL
We lost, the car lost, but it was a fun evening all the same. I'll go back!
They have a beverage bar where you serve yourself soft drinks. Lots of smoking sections, big high ceilings. We never seen the race track. I did see the prison, from the parking garage you can view the yard!
