I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with bing.com and their fare predictor?

Isn't that a Microsoft product?

have no idea. Fare predictor seems sort of hokey!

Ok, I asked about Bings fare predictor, no one really had an answer about the thing, so I'll post my results.

It's Bogus. It's like a 10 day forecast for the weather. It was never right. It kept telling me, fares where going to drop and it was something like 77% sure. Yeah, well I like 100% sure, other wise it's just a GUESS! I could do a better job predicting airfare prices with my grand-daughters magic eight ball!
Oh yeah, the one time it said to buy now, 65% sure fares will rise, yup, you guessed it, 2 days later they dropped! Kinda makes me wonder if they arn't in coohoots with the airlines, just a thought!

Digging up an old topic a slightly off topic spin. The update is that Bing is still an outdated Microsoft product.

On a positive note. Suppose you were feeling nostalgic and the closing of the Sahara made you long for the good old days. The solution is to go to Bing Maps and take a stroll up and down the strip.

Wouldn't you like to see the old Stardust layout? How about the Frontier.

Remember when the Monte Carlo was connected to the Bellagio by a tram and nothing else was inbetween?

How would you like to see the old Wet N Wild?

Or maybe the Wynn under construction with part of the DI still up?

And what was the name of that place on way south on the strip where you could spin to win your airfare?

Anyway, take a trip back in time, thanks to Bing. Just take the birds eye view and turn off the 45 degree angles and ride up and down the strip. And if you know Vegas beyond the strip, that's kinda interesting too.

Vacation Village, what a dump! Sat in a pee soaked chair one time and never went back!

Agree Vacation Village was a dump but it would always be my first stop after landing at the airport, usually to take a spin on that wheel. I also ate at that Denny's a few times. The last time I was there I won $10 in free play and converted that to $50 cash. I never looked back (nor did I ever sit in pee - sorry Lee!).

Mike I hit the free airfare twice! and won suites many times, although I never took them up on the offer for a room! I understand a suite was just 2 rooms togeather.

Wow - I don't think I've ever heard of ANYONE winning that free airfare, let alone twice - you probably bankrupted them and that's why they closed!

Thinking back, I hit the airfare one time, and my then-wife hit it the other. So, I personally did not hit it twice. It was always our first stop on our vegas vacations. We'd then play nickel VP at the bar, and hope to get a 4 of a kind with the card of the day!
