It's official, Sharon & I will be getting married this trip. We are shooting for Monday November the 23, I'll post time and place, incase anyone cares to bare witness to this event. Sharon is incharge of all the details. All I got to do is show up. Oh and get the rings. Leaving to help with dress shopping now. We got 7 days to get this done!

I always learned that one is supposed to say Congratulations only to the male (because he is lucky enough to have caught the lady), and much love and happiness to the lady (because she has to put up with him, presumably!) SOOOOOOO

It's no real shocker that this event is taking place as you seemed like a great team from day 1. I'm glad you are doing it in Las Vegas. I hope you ignore any accusations that suggest you are just doing it for her Harrah's points. Don't worry, your friends know better. And whenever you feel like announcing the name for the baby, that will be fine. I am a little curious about one thing if it's not too personal. Do you think that little trip to California influenced the timing of your situation?

JMT, Cali had nothing to do with it. But those Harrahs points????? I just hope for your sake Joe, your not saying Sharon looks pregnant. If you are, well then my friend, your on your own with that! LOL

It's just time is all. I've had this in the back of my head for awhile. February it will be seven years we've been together. I don't expect to be back in Vegas before that time, so as Elvis would sing "It's Now or Never" LOL.
On a side note, Sharon hurt her hip last evening in the shower??? She's limping around, I asked her if she wanted to postpone the wedding, and she said NO, loud and clear. If I was her, I'd be looking for any excuse to squirm out of marrying me! LOL

Thanks, Kes & Tater! I think Sharon is half crazy for saying yes, after all, she already knows what she's gonna get. For me however, it's a sweet deal!

Everything is still sketchy, Sharon needs to book place, get a dress and we need rings! I really don't care about the details, or if you care to attend, what you wear! Jeans and a t-shirt are fine, that goes for the bride as well!

We got the rings and sharon thinks she found a dress (red). We also dug out our divorce papers, so this is coming together quite nicely.

The wedding plans are final Getting married November 23 (monday) at 3:30 in the afternoon. Little Church of the West, Las Vegas Nevada. This is the one that has been moved a number of times. The last move was from the old Hacienda.
We have nothing planned for after the wedding (food) we are going to wing that, (it could be wings at Hooters LOL)as we have no way of knowing the number of people that will show up. Could be just close family, could be Thirty or more. We just put out the word. It's short notice for everyone. Wouldn't be ironic 30 people for the Mandalay Buffet on OUR wedding! LOL

DAG I like mine sweet, I'll drink a Manhattan, but we do southern comfort.

My congratulations to you two. While I would like to raise a glass to you also, I reserve the right to save it for the next time we cross paths in Las Vegas.

I wish I could get off work to attend, I anticipate a grand time will be had by all. Again, have a wonderful time (I am looking forward to this trip report).

Well Just thought I'd make a final post before I get some shut eye for my early flight to Vegas tomorrow.
No cold feet or nothing, it feels right, it feels like we are already married, so this just seals the deal.
I hope to see as many of you at the church that can possibly make it. We can all grab something to eat afterward, however with out any kind of head count, There is no reservations, gonna wing that part! LOL

Lee - Congrats to you and Sharon. I wish both of you well. Sorry I won't be there to share in the festivities!

Texas De Brazil will be our wedding dinner. They are very flexable with the reservation. Dinner at 5 pm. They are also fairly close to the church, although not walking distance.

Thanks mike for the well wishes. Sorry u r not in town for this. Maybe next time. Er I mean your next trip, not my next wedding. This will be it for me. If this doesn't work out, I just might become the crazy cat person of talkvegas! Lol

Congrats on the wedding! We got married in Vegas and have never regretted a second of it.... the Vegas part that is. LOL
