Ruth's Chris is a pretty good steakhouse chain. I doubt if it's anyone's favorite and I don't consider it a great steakhouse amongst this land of excellent choices.

You can buy discount gift certificates on the link that will follow. This is a $50 certificate that you can buy and print right away. The cost is $25 for each certificate and you can buy up to 15 of them. Ruth's Chris has just one location in Las Vegas, which is on Paradise Rd. The Flamingo Rd location closed earlier this year. These certificates expire in November 2010.

I'm gonna buy a few and try some of their steaks. It's been about 10 years since I've eaten at any Ruth's Chris and I don't really remember much except that I thought it was overpriced for what I got.

If you would like to buy one or more of these certificates, visit http://ktnv.actionnewsdeals.com/index.php?index_type=home before they sell out.

Also note as you browse the website that Rhythm Kitchen has certificates too. $20 certificates for $10. I recommend this place for good food but the certificates must be picked up in person at the TV station on Valley View, near Desert Inn.

JMT, here on the east coast, Costco has had discount gift cards for ruth chris in our area only. $100 gift card for $50. I'm guessing each one is locally owned, because they where only good for certin locations here on the east coast.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse was my dinner on Monday night. I hate to say anything bad about it because it was a very fine cut of meat, it was cooked to perfection, service was perfect, the side dishes were good, the coupon made it a bargain. The only bad thing is that it was very predictable Ruth's Chris. In this city where steak house competition for perfection is darn near ridiculous, Ruth's Chris just remains good. It was so bland from no seasoning and broiled under a gas flame, I actually used ketchup on my last few bites. I thought I liked bare bones steaks with no added flavors. As it turns out, it seems I like the flavor of a sprinkle of salt before cooking, and cooked over an open wood or charcoal flame. It was such a predictable meal, I know that I will be back soon.
