Binion's just announced that they will close the hotel portion of the property VERY SOON.

Details are sketchy. They aren't taking reservations past Dec 13. There is no word on what will happen to reservations already in the can for dates beyond that.

WOW, seems such a shame. Sharon & I just noted how bright and clean the place looked on our recent trip. I'm guessing they are in some sort of money trouble???

Didn't they close once before? Or was that another hotel on Fremont Street years ago?

They shut down the old classic original Apache/Horseshoe rooms. While I liked those rooms, they were 1930's rooms with no real upgrades.
