something very strange happened at Caesars
something very strange happened at Caesars
While we stayed at Caesars this trip, I hit the Aces with the kicker on a dollar machine. $2000 and a W2G. However as is the standard operating procedure at a Harrahs place, I use Sharons slot card, to help maintain her Diamond status. Well, along comes the slot personel, takes her slot card out of my machine, and begins writing stuff down, then she looks at me, says "your not Sharon". I said, correct, and sharon said she was Sharon. The slot person then asked "is it alright if I just continue and put it in Sharons name, since I already started the paperwork? It was ok, after all, I wish I could have done this everytime there was a W2G involved!!!! Let someone else declare the thing! LOL This seems highly illegal and I'm sure uncle sam would not approve either. As on Monday it did become a mute point however, because we where married and will be filing jointly. However, I still can't beleive she would put it in someone elses name that not even the last names matched???
Thoughts?

Oh BTW, when they came back with the money, they Paid Sharon, and it was my machine that hit??? LOL

Lee - Technically, they should have started the paperwork over, regardless of whose slot card was in the machine. It was you who was playing the machine and you who should have gotten paid. But since they completed the paperwork with Sharon's info, they did "the right thing" by paying Sharon the money. Hopefully, Sharon gave you some of it. wink

Maybe you high rollers work different than me. Do they have your SSN and DL on file?

For the sake of legal reasons, it doesn't matter who's card is in the machine. It could have been there from the last person that played and forgot to take it out. Sure the card has to come out for the slot person to do her thing.

Now if Harrahs was as ignorant as I give them credit for, I could see where they might make a stink about someone else using Sharons card and mess with your comps.

I remember one W2G I got and I think the only words of the English language she knew was "drivers license" and "social".
