   Chester Pa casino trip
   Chester Pa casino trip
Sunday we got up and looked at the rain and Sharon checked her offers for Chester. Well, she had a coupon for $110 of free money to spend there. So off we went in the driving rain storm. A one hour trip became a lot longer in the rain and slowed traffic from wrecks.
We arrive about 2pm, we find a couple of machines in the smoking section. You can't smoke anywhere in PA in public except casinos and some private clubs. My five play DDB machine played so well, that after an hour or so, I switched to 10 play. This was at the quarter level (not dollars) I don't have the stomach for dollar ten play. LOL We'd text each other when we would hit something good, as Sharons machine was off somewhere in another spot. At 5:30 we took a dinner break, in the diamond lounge. Cheese ravioli, sub sandwiches, nathens hot dog cart, soup, make your own nachos, pasta salad, amborsia, mix green saleas, cookies for desert. I had a little of everything!
After dinner, we walked around a little I played a new nudge machine, I got bored real quick, but it gave me a lot of play. Called "Hot Nudge Sunday" The nudges are purely random, and seldom gave more then a few quarters in winnings.
Played a little 10 times pay VP that ate my money so quick, I stopped playing and was ready to go home. Sharon agreed, we left at 7, and we where home by 8pm.
5hrs in a casino, made a small profit of $525, it was a good trip, the car wasn't hit in the parking garage.

Nice quickie Lee. I gotta tell ya, except for poker, if I ever walk out of the casino with over $500 in winnings I would be ecstatic. Chester sounds like a good stop next time I go in that direction for our annual bike ride.

hopefully they will have live table games by then!!

We have already planned our Next Chester trip, Last day in January. They sent Sharon another ticket for $110, and me a ticket for $15, so it looks like thats the date! When ever I win, it's just a loan until next time!

We hit Chester PA casino again on Superbowl sunday, when we arrived the place was full, but before the start of the game the place cleared out, leaving a much better choice of machines.
However all I really picked was looser machines this trip. I had gotten Aces twice without the kicker on DDB, but when playing 5 and 10 play machines, those wins don't last very long.
I played for quite some time on a spin poker machine, but those always feel like I'm playing a slot with poker symbols. It was entertaining, and I did loose, but it went slowly, rather then quickly, and at some points I was even ahead on the machine, but not enough to quit. You all have been there I'm sure! LOL
We had dinner at the Diner called "Aces", I was underwhelmed by the service, but the sandwiches we ordered where very good. wedge fries served hot, all for $29 with tip. I paid with my points.
The only other notable thing I could add is Chester did a horrible job of snow removal on the road leading to the casino. If I was Harrahs, (and the roads are there lifes blood) I would be raising royal heck!

Don't know when our next trip is to Chester, but we'll go again. They keep sending Sharon free money $165 this past trip. That's a heck of a head start on a winning trip for her. She lost very little, compared to me, but I always play on her card.

Gotta love that free money!

Hope you're dealing with the snow okay. We got a foot yesterday in Chicago. Not too much fun. At least they do a good job with snow removal!

Our temps will be about 70 this weekend. If I lived in the northeast, it wouldn't take much to pass on the free money to visit Las Vegas. But y'all made the cold weather decision a very long time ago. At least you make the best of the situation and had fun.

Mike, didja feel the earthquake?

I was on an airplance when the earthquake happened, so no. And none of my friends mentioned that they felt it either. I think it was way west of the city.

JMT, your correct, we are making the best with what we got.
I have had enough of the snow however. And when I log in, I always see that time and temp of Las Vegas, even on a bad weather day, it's almost always better then here on the east coast!
Working on our Diamond status here at home, while dreaming of another Vegas trip.
