I just received word that DAG was admitted to the hospital with blood clot problems. They are doing tests, and he should be fine, although on medication the rest of his life. He's hoping to be back home by the weekend, and he wrote a brief note in his own, with his own inimitatable way with words ...

Jenn (his daughter) will keep me posted, but please keep DAG in your thoughts and prayers.

P.S. - just got another text ... he is "enjoying his meatloaf & peas - NOT!" .... that's our caveman!

I hope he pulls through this with flying colors. But if my understanding of the problem is correct, his Margy & Manhatten days are over. I understand no drinking with the meds for that!
We wish him well, and a speedy recovery!

it's about one beer a day!! no saving them up. i am feeling pretty good and did not fill the lungs this time but put a big one between the lungs,big enough that the doc kept saying this is a big deal!! i get it, lets get to work!! they were going to slice me open and remove it but decided they could disolve it without cutting me open.lets hope so.thanks to all who responded and i am back!!

i do know of a 60oz big ass mug at bills.think i'll use that as a benchmark.the bad news is that this time i will be running a lot thinner on the blood and i might have to smart up and follow the rules a little closer.

i think i can still do the caveman diet so i am sure prime is still on the list.might have to cut down from the roast cut to a slice cut. i just need to eat a little smarter,like a filet and a tail,that shouldn't be to tough

DAG...Glad to hear that you are doing okay. I know all about changing the diet and cutting back on the drinking, just ask Lee, I had one small beer during our two hour meet back in November. You'll get used to it and feel a whole lot better.
