This small casino in Lake Las Vegas is scheduled to close in mid-March citing the closure of the adjoining Ritz-Carlton as the straw that broke the camel's back. I think the Loew's Hotel is still open.

It's really too bad that this place didn't work. It's strange to see the dried-up golf course from the sky when you're flying over. I wonder if the shops are still open. I wonder what the people who bought condos in that development are thinking.

Casino employees there just found out that their paychecks have been cut in half, so it might close sooner.

It seems like the entire Lake Las Vegas project has had troubles since day 1.

If they can keep the lake nice, the shops might be able to operate as kiosks during art fairs and concerts and the like. I don't see them as sustainable businesses.
