Just went through all our vegas offers. Now I need to find the time. Looking at possible mid July (plan A) or mid August (plan B).
Sharon has an offer from Ceasars Palace, for $500 and 3 nights. I got to make use of that one! We both need a Vegas fix!
Thinking of a Tuesday to Monday, 3 days Ceasars. 3days downtown is the plan.

You sure do need a trip. And you would have loved the weather the last few weeks. We get a windy day or two each week, but the temps have not been extreme. Good pool weather, good sight seeing weather, good walking weather, good park weather, good dinner on the patio weather.

Are the air fares and car rentals looking favorable?

I need a trip too - I'm going through withdrawal - I haven't been there since last August. I've been dealing with all sorts of health and family issues - not sure when I'll make it back again.

lee, when you say $500 and three nights - do you mean that CP is offering you $500 cash or gaming chips?

And concerning Downtown.... just recently I've become very impressed with the Golden Nugget. The new Rush Tower looks great and the entire casino floor looks inviting.

And the pool area with the Shark Tank looks great too, (Check out the additional pool on the 3rd floor of that tank.)

At present the GN is my 2nd favorite LV hotel/casino .... right behind the Wynn which includes the Encore.

Will, Yes, Ceasars will pay Sharon to walk in the door $500. The Golden Nugget looks fantastic. However, all our contacts and friends are at the Boyd properties. We will probably remain loyal to them for that reason. there is something nice about being greeted by name when you park your car, walk through the casino, or go to dinner. I know we tip well, and would make new contacts at the GN, but I do like the personal touch of boyd. It sure isn't the hotel rooms that keep us coming back....UCK!
Mike, I am back to making money right now, and thats been job one here. 2009, wasn't a good year for too many people. I was very lucky, as total rev, was only down 10%, but that is my fun money. LOL
JMT, I'll take any kind of weather! At this point, I want to see Vegas again, and it could be cold and windy, or 120 degrees in the shade, it just don't matter! (I'll be inside the casino). We are looking at shows right now, and who is intown at the times we are looking at. Also, we now must work around other peoples vacation schedule, as Sharon didn't lock in many days when the Co. picked vacations. We just didn't know how this year was going to go. September, we have a possible California trip planned if, sharon's neice gets married as planned. Rumor has it, the wedding might be off???? October I have a cruise planned w/22 friends, that ought to be a blast. November I will be in Vegas for Thanksgiving and my one year aniversary!

Checking prices and airfare sees to be up in my neck of the woods, or is it that I am just out of the loop for Vegas travel so long?
August is looking like our target, as July is upon us already and I just don't see me able to get away from work (and the money is good for a change).

I am going through Vegas withdrawal too. Don't see much hope before November - but it might be earlier in the month. David has a convention there the first week.

It's tough for me to get away this year. After a poor year last year, business has really picked up and I hate to turn good money away. Now it looks as though August is going to fall through too. Looking at 2nd week in september as a possible???

Airfare from Detroit has improved. I just booked Delta for September, Friday to Tuesday at $243 round trip, direct flight. If I took the redeye back I could have flown for $213.

Comped room at Planet Hollywood and free slot tournament at Caesars for the weekend and it's a great time to be in Vegas.

May have saved enough on airfare to justify the sky jump at Statosphere or the zipline in Boulder City.

West coast Airfare to and from Hawaii is now $398 in case anyone is interested to go surfing.

Pretty bad when it's cheaper to fly west coast to Hawaii, then east coast to Vegas! must have something to do with the shape of the earth. I see on my globe that Hawaii is down hill from LAX! LOL

I'm looking hard at September 6th to 11th. This is a very high possibilty. Sharon got those days off from work today! WooHoo. Probably fly out of Baltimore, I need to check Southwests price and times for direct flights, yet. Standard carriers price didn't seem too bab at just over $300. But then you add the bags!
