I received a mailing for 2 to 4 comped nights at either The Venetian or The Palazzo in July, Aug., & Sept. It can also be used multiple times. Of course it isn't available on Friday & Saturday nights plus a few other days. I was surprised that I received this because all I've played at either one is an afternoon in early June at The Venetian and believe me not all that much was ran thru the machines.
My question is to anyone who has stayed at both hotels. If I get the chance to use this offer, which hotel would you choose? Which has the better rooms?
I found it funny that the mailing indicates that although the rooms were comped, they would be charging a $17 plus tax fee per day for a resort fee. Have to be sure to get that resort fee!! Oh well, it would be well worth it.

I've only visited some Palazzo rooms, never stayed there. Something about the Palazzo rooms seemed to lean towards whatever the opposite of bright, classy, and welcoming is. They were nice rooms though. It's just not my favorite style.
OTOH, I like the Venetian rooms, although I haven't stayed in one in a very long time. I don't know how recent they've been remodeled.
I don't think you could go wrong either way. They both have unique room styles that you just don't get at The Orleans or Flamingo. If you're renting a car, I think the Palazzo has easier and better access for garage parking. The public areas of the Palazzo seem less crowded. I like the Venetian if the room comfort was the only factor.
Better still, since the offer can be used multiple times, try both and compare.
personally, I'd take the Palazzo only because the rooms are newer. I've been in rooms at both properties, and both are very nice! I'm sure you'll be happy with either choice. Please keep in mind, your choice may have been already made for you depending on the days you choose. I have called several times for offers like such, and all that was available for my dates was the Venetian.

I've only stayed at the Palazzo once shortly after it opened but at that time I felt that that hotel room was one of the best I've ever seen..... and I've stayed in just about every nice place in LV.
And the majority of junk ones too!. (If not 'all'.)
Our Palazzo room had more switches on the wall than I knew what to do with, so I recall switching each and every one of them and everything started going up and down and in every direction known to mankind.
And I didn't even have my first martini yet!
But you sure won't complain no matter what tower you eventually end up in.
I think they tried to out-do the Wynn and Encore - and came pretty d-a-r-n close.
