Anyone here going to be in town for thanksgiving week?
RUKiding posted a note to another thread and got me thinking, Wendell would have been so on top of this already!

If we have a small group, we can go just about anywhere, larger numbers will limit us, so I'm just looking to see if there is any intrest at this time.
JMT, when you know your schedule @ work, let me know, it would be great if you could attend!

LG group, cocktails and tall stories at a pub grub place????

Looking at air fare from the east coast, it's up for Thanks giving, week. My dates will be 19 to 27. Working on getting there early on Friday, instead of so stinking late, like we always seem to travel on these dates. The later in the day you travel the less time you have, when things go wrong.

It would be nice seeing everyone! Oh by the way it will be my aniversary too, so their will something to celibrate! One year already, and it only seems like 10! LOL

It's a bit early for us to say for sure but it would be nice to raise a glass to your anniversary and Wendels memory at the same time.

Here's a little joke for your anniversary

A man comes home from work, sits in his lazyboy, in front of the TV and rudely tells his wife, "Gimme a beer before it starts". She gives him a beer.

About 15 minutes later, he says again, "Gimme a beer before it starts".

Again, she gives him a beer.

"Don't you think you're overdoing it? You know Lee it's our anniversary and it hasn't been half an hour that you got here and you already had two beers. I'm getting fed up with this.

mine will be-19th thru tues 23rd with a meet on mon or a tues nooner so i can catch a late tues outta dodge

I go to vegas to avoid family get togethers. A crowd in a casino sounds much better, you should try it one time!

Right now I'm thinking Lunch at the Palm restruant in the Caesars mall. That location has always worked well for me in the past!

How about "The Yardhouse" during happy hour 3-6pm M-F. 160 flavors of beer on tap, discounted during happy hour and 1/2 price appetizers.

I'm not familier with the yardhouse? Where is it, I can check it out in September !

The Yardhouse now has two locations in Vegas, the first one is at Town Square I-215 and Las Vegas Blvd and another location in Red Rock Casino & Resort We always go to the one in Town Square, I haven't been to the one in Red Rock yet. Their website is yardhouse.com.

I made this topic a sticky so that it would be easier for anyone to find. It will always be the first topic in this section until shortly after Thanksgiving.

Lee, the Yardhouse is kinda on the north-northwest side of the Town Square complex. It's a fun place. I've always thought it was a tad loud for a TV meet. I've never been there on happy hour to drink the 160 beers.

Usually during happy hour it's not quite as loud as other times. Also the happy hour pricing is at the bar only, so if the TV meet turns out to be a large crowd it would be difficult to have us all meet at the bar. But if it's just 4-6 of us like last year then the bar would be fine.

Ralph, I will scout out the place on our upcoming September trip. Noise is a problem if we have a large table, and how is the food????

The food is great, a little pricey though, that's why I like the happy hour, I can make a meal out of 2-3 appetizers and a couple of beers.

Like I said, I'll give it the once over, and see if that will work, and in the mean time maybe get an idea how many people will really show up at a meet! LOLHeck if it's just us, No Problem, I do not need a reason to visit a place that has 160 beers! Heck maybe we could grab a quick cold 1 or 2 in september??
