I got an e-mail from Cirque Du Soleil that many of you probably already got if you are a Cirque club member. If you aren't a CirqueClub member, go to the Cirque website and sign up if you want more details.
The e-mail links to a couple of places that go into depth on Cirque Week in Las Vegas on November 29 to December 5. There are meet and greets with casts, crew, and coaches, an acoustic session of Viva Elvis, demonstrations, Q&As, gifts, and lots of other behind the scenes info.
There is a lot of info to digest, and I can't say I understand it all. It seems that if you want to look around and only see a couple of shows, you can get it for as little as $160. The full Aficionado package with autographed programs and all 7 shows is only $445, which seems very fair. There are 3 packages inbetween those two extremes.
It also mentions presale Insider Access packages. You can get a backstage tour of Love, line pass, program, Cat 1 seat for the show, a CD, and nightclub line pass. There is deal like this for O at the Bellagio. Each of these are $250, and are run on most Fri and Sat nights, now through January.
Several people have shown interest on those rare occasions when I get a behind the scenes look at some of the events in town. I thought that this might be a way for others to get a chance to see something they might never see again.
As for me, I need to digest dates and times and see what my work schedule looks like. I've seen all the shows except Zumanity. I've taken a backstage tour of Ka and saw a little bit of the Love workings during a commercial filming. When I saw Viva Elvis and Love, they were in preview. I'm thinking of forking over the big bucks for the Insider Access package for Love. I'm not sure I'd get my moneys worth of a backstage tour or O. From what I've seen on TV, it all happens in the tank. I need to read up on the acoustic Viva Elvis, with a Q&A with the musical director afterwards in the Gold Bar.
Does any of this sound interesting?
