I have a few coupons for Cadillac Ranch at Town Square, and I gave them a try last night. They bill themselves as an all American classic cuisine in a rock inspired atmosphere. I wasn't expecting much more than a glorified Chili's and I wasn't too far off. The menu as about what I expected, with tweaked prices to reflect it's exclusive name and again for it's location. I was a little stumped at their rock inspired atmosphere. Lots of heavy wood seemed to be bringing on a country inspired atmosphere. And they had a mechanical bull that didn't really scream rock inspired. There were plenty of TVs playing world series and college football. The audio in the place was world series, so I don't know if they rock inspired music or not. The place is pretty big with 2 bars, plenty of indoor seating, and outdoor seating on patio overlooking a section of Town Square. This is a second story establishment located above the Yard House.

The food was neither good or bad. The BBQ ribs reminded me of the old BlackJack Lodge that many of us are familiar with. I had a cheese sticks appetizer that was obviously frozen and deep fried. Both the ribs and sticks came with french fries, so I got my fill of fries on this meal.

The ribs were $25, the cheese sticks were $9, so with iced tea, the deal was close to $40. To be fair to them, I was trying to blow a $35 coupon, and there were plenty of specials and happy hour deals where I could have filled up and had a few drinks much cheaper. There's some pretty good dining in Town Square and this isn't one of them. It seems like a fair stop for a burger and a beer if you're in the area. It might get lively as the night rolls on. I have 2 more coupons to burn before the end of the year so I'll be back.
