   IcePan
After a disappointing burger experience at KGB, I decided to treat myself to a dessert. There is a new ice cream shop in Harrah's near the Toby Keith place. It's called Ice Pan. I'm sure these types of shops are opening up all over the place, but this was my first experience.

Ice Pan makes a more healthy ice cream. They make your ice cream to order right in front of you. They take the milk you pick, mix it with the flavors you select, then pour it into an open stainless steel pan that is extremely cold. They stir it, flip it, mash it, and scrape it as it freezes, add fruit if desired, and mix it as you watch the show.

They have options of whole milk, low fat, no fat, or soy. They have lots of fresh fruit they can add. You can also add non healthy ingredients and toppings such as sprinkles, candy, caramel, or chocolate syrup.

They do advertise their ice cream as very low in fat and cholesterol, no color additives, no refined sugars, and no preservatives. They also claim it is much easier to digest for those with tummy resistance to ice cream.

I watched a few orders being made before I ordered. I got a soy milk with fresh chopped banana mixed into the ice cream, then chocolate syrup drizzled on top. Each order makes about 3 small scoops about the size of a ping pong ball. I think the cost was about $7 which is much cheaper than some of the gelato shops on the strip. I found my ice cream to be very flavorful and not as sweet as typical ice cream or gelato.

It's a walk up place. I hung around and watched a few orders being made before I ordered. It takes about 30 seconds to mix the ingredients, and about a one minute show as the product matures. It's a little like watching a pro mix and play with spakle.
