   SNOW???
   SNOW???
Seen this on our local news that Vegas had some snow recently.
Just wondering if they were talking about snow on the strip, or the burbs like summerlin. I have no idea what kind of amount they got either. very vague!

Lee, I managed to see some snow on the roof of my car when I looked out the window about 8 AM yesterday morning.

It wasn't very thick but it was definitely snow!

I had some sort of intestinal flu yesterday, so I didn't see the mountain tops yet but I will be seeing them today and it's a beautiful sight when you can see the snow covered mountain peaks against a clear blue sky.

Or even better yet is that same sight when the sun first comes up and initially shines on the Red Rock Mountain range making the colors red, white, and blue so dominant and impressive.

Nothing that would stick at the airport, an inch at my place and about 3 inches in some Summerlin areas. Over a foot in the mountains. About 6 inches of snow in Pahrump. Henderson got nothing.

It was one of the deals where it was very cold, humid, and unstable atmosphere. It was all about the freeze level. It was easy for me to see from the airport that the freeze level was about 15 stories up on the Mandalay Bay tower.

The valley snow started in the morning darkness and was melting rapidly in the afternoon.

Will is right on the picture perfect postcard views. I was a little surprised today to see how high the frost level was on the mountains today.

Our local news made it sound like it was a major event! When in fact, it was just a slow news day, I guess! They did show a picture of a pretty badly made snowman. But it looked like the burbs, in the backround, not the Vegas strip!
Thanks Will and JMT!
